Let’s dig into last week’s market recap and the playbook for the week ahead →

The markets were volatile last week.

The major indexes didn’t do much this week.

Underneath them though? A lot changed.

The S&P 500 slipped 0.59%, the Dow lost 0.39%, and the Nasdaq fell 1.60%. Those numbers alone make the week look relatively uneventful.

However, that’s not where the interesting part of the market was.

Oil surged more than 10%. Energy became the strongest S&P 500 sector.

Gold miners jumped. Utilities, Industrials, and Materials moved higher while Software , Consumer Discretionary , and other growth-sensitive areas struggled.

In other words, money didn’t disappear.

→ It moved and that’s the part I care about.

When the indexes get all the attention, it’s easy to miss what’s happening underneath them.

→ Sector leadership can change before the headline numbers make that shift obvious.

So this week, I’m paying less attention to whether the SPY was up or down half a percent and more attention to where investors were actually putting their money because right now, the market looks “increasingly selective.”

I. The Market Vitals (Best to Worst)

Here’s how the 7 major asset classes ranked this week:

  1. Oil

  2. Bitcoin ($BTCUSD)

  3. Gold

  4. The Dow Jones 30

  5. The S&P 500

  6. The Nasdaq-100

  7. 20 Year Bonds Treasury ETF

  • 3/7 assets are up.

  • BTC, GLD, and USO are up.

  • QQQ, DIA, SPY, and TLT are down.

This week, I’m watching one question:

Does the leadership broaden—or become even more defensive?

The money underneath them tells you where investors are preparing to go.

II. Section Rotation (11 SPDR S&P 500 Sectors)

One of the clearest themes last week was sector rotation.

Leadership moved away from the usual growth engines.

Energy led all 11 S&P 500 sectors over the past five days, followed by Utilities , Industrials , Materials , and Real Estate .

Meanwhile, Technology barely finished positive, while Communication Services and Consumer Discretionary brought up the rear.

💡 My Takeaway

This doesn’t look like a simple flight to safety.

If it were, I’d expect defensive sectors to dominate across the board. Instead, we’re seeing strength in Energy, Industrials, Materials, and Utilities—a mix of hard assets, infrastructure, cyclicals, and defense.

That tells me investors are becoming more selective about where they’re putting money.

And it confirms something else I’m seeing beneath the indexes:

→ Leadership is changing.

That’s what I’m watching next week.

Does this rotation continue—or does money move back into the growth sectors that have been leading this market?

III. Important Sectors & ETFs

The Lesson: Follow The Money 👑

This week’s leadership wasn’t what I’d expect from a full-throttle risk-on market.

Gold miners and energy led, while software , speculative growth , small caps , regional banks , and retail lagged.

Semiconductors managed to stay positive, which tells me investors aren’t abandoning technology—they’re becoming more selective about where they’re willing to take risk.

💡 My Takeaway

This looks less like investors running from the market and more like money rotating toward hard assets, cash-generating businesses, and areas with stronger near-term catalysts.

That doesn’t automatically make the move bullish or bearish.

It makes it selective and that distinction matters.

If small caps, regional banks, retail, and other economically sensitive areas begin participating, that would tell me the rotation is broadening and market participation may be getting healthier.

But if gold and energy continue leading while those groups weaken, I’d read that very differently. It could be a sign that investors are becoming more defensive beneath the surface.

So this week, I’m watching one question:

Does the leadership broaden—or become even more defensive?

Because sometimes the indexes tell you where the market went.

→ The money underneath them tells you where investors are preparing to go.

IV. What Assets & Sectors I’m Watching

Here’s what I’m focused on next week:

Oil (USO): This is at the top of my screen. USO surged 10.27% over the past five days, dramatically outperforming every other major asset I track.

After a move that large, I’m not interested in chasing it. I want to see whether oil can hold its gains, consolidate, or begin giving some of the move back.

Energy (XLE & XOP): Energy confirmed the move in crude. XLE gained 3.36%, making Energy the strongest S&P 500 sector, while XOP gained 2.27%. If crude holds and these groups continue participating, Energy remains one of the strongest areas on my radar.

Gold (GLD) & Gold Miners (GDX/GDXJ): GLD gained 0.95%, but the miners were considerably stronger. GDX rose 5.48% and GDXJ jumped 6.07%.

→ That relative strength has my attention. I’m watching whether gold itself begins confirming the enthusiasm we’re seeing in the miners.

The Nasdaq (QQQ): fell 1.60%, making it the weakest of the three major equity indexes I track. That lines up with weakness in Software and other growth-heavy areas.

→ I’m watching whether buyers return to growth or whether QQQ continues losing relative strength.

S&P 500 (SPY): declined 0.59% over the past five days. The headline index didn’t have a dramatic week, but the action underneath it certainly did.

For me, sector participation matters more here than the relatively small decline in SPY.

Dow Jones (DIA): fell just 0.39%, outperforming both SPY and QQQ.

That relative strength fits the broader rotation toward more traditional, industrial and value-oriented parts of the market.

Long-Term Treasuries Bonds (TLT): lost 1.50%. That’s important because stocks weren’t simply selling off while investors rushed into long-duration government bonds.

I’m watching yields and bonds closely because continued weakness in long-duration Treasuries could remain a headwind for rate-sensitive growth stocks.

Bitcoin (BTC): BTC was basically flat at +0.07%. With several other assets making meaningful moves, crypto gave us very little directional information this week. I’m watching for the next decisive move rather than trying to manufacture a signal that isn’t there.

What I’m Watching Most →

This week gave me a much clearer message than the headline indexes alone would suggest.

Oil surged. Energy led. Gold miners rallied. Industrials and Materials participated. Meanwhile, QQQ weakened, Software sold off, Consumer Discretionary struggled, and long-duration Treasuries declined.

That isn’t a market where everything is moving together.

→ It’s a market making choices.

So, again, I’m heading into next week with one question:

Does money continue moving toward energy, hard assets, and the physical economy—or does growth reclaim leadership?

I’m not trying to predict the answer. I’m following the money.

It’s asking questions.

The market has a funny way of rewarding curiosity.

You start researching one company, which leads you to another industry, which leads you to an entirely different investment idea you never expected to find.

Sometimes the best opportunities aren’t hiding in plain sight. They’re hiding just one question beyond where everyone else stops looking.

That’s exactly what happened to me this week.

I wasn’t looking for an oil and gas company.

I was looking for another way to invest in artificial intelligence.

More specifically, I wanted to find a utility company.

The logic seemed straightforward.

Artificial intelligence is driving an explosion in data centers.

Data centers consume enormous amounts of electricity. If electricity demand continues to grow over the next decade, utility companies should be among the biggest beneficiaries.

On paper, the thesis made perfect sense.

So I started researching and I found a lot of businesses I genuinely admired.

Companies with predictable cash flows. Strong balance sheets. Long operating histories. The kind of businesses I’d be happy to own for years.

There was just one problem.

Many of them already looked fairly valued.

The opportunity wasn’t as compelling as I had hoped.

That’s when I stopped asking one question.

→ “Who delivers the electricity?”

And started asking another.

→ “Where does the electricity come from?”

That single question completely changed where my research led me.

Instead of following the AI story directly, I followed the energy behind it.

Not to another utility, but to one of the largest independent oil and natural gas producers in the United States.

A company that Morningstar currently estimates is trading at roughly 20% below its fair value.

A company that gives investors exposure to both traditional energy demand and one of the fastest-growing themes in the market.

The growing energy needs of artificial intelligence.

That’s why this week’s Top Pick of the Week is Devon Energy Corp. .

What Is Devon Energy Corp?

Unlike many of the companies I’ve written about recently, Devon Energy Corp. isn’t building artificial intelligence, it isn’t designing semiconductors, it isn’t manufacturing servers, and it isn’t constructing data centers.

Instead, DVN produces something every one of those businesses depends on before any of them can do what they’re designed to do.

→ Energy.

DVN is one of the largest independent oil and natural gas producers in the United States, with operations spanning some of the country’s most productive shale basins, including the Permian, Eagle Ford, Anadarko, and Bakken.

Following its merger with Coterra, the company will also expand its footprint into the Appalachian Basin, strengthening its exposure to natural gas.

At the end of 2025, the company reported approximately 2.4 billion barrels of oil equivalent in proved reserves and produced roughly 840,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

About 73% of that production came from oil and natural gas liquids, while the remaining 27% came from natural gas.

Those numbers matter because they tell us what kind of business DVN has become.

This isn’t a small exploration company hoping to strike its next big discovery.

It’s an established producer with diversified operations, high-quality assets, and a meaningful position across several of North America’s most important energy regions.

Oil continues to fuel transportation, manufacturing, and industrial activity around the world.

Natural gas plays a different, but increasingly important role.

It has become one of the primary fuels used to generate electricity in the United States, providing reliable, dispatchable power whenever homes, businesses, manufacturers, and data centers need it.

That diversification gives DVN exposure to multiple sources of long-term energy demand.

That’s what caught my attention because I was searching for the businesses making artificial intelligence possible.

The Hidden Layer

Artificial intelligence has become one of the defining investment themes of this decade.

Mention AI, and most investors immediately think of companies like NVIDIA , Microsoft , Alphabet , Amazon , or Broadcom .

That makes sense.

They’re building the chips, software, cloud infrastructure, and platforms driving the next generation of technology.

However, every major investment theme creates an ecosystem.

The companies making headlines are rarely the only ones benefiting.

Sometimes the most interesting opportunities exist one layer deeper.

That realization completely changed the way I approached my research.

Instead of asking which companies were building artificial intelligence...I started asking what artificial intelligence needed before it could exist.

The answer wasn’t another semiconductor.

It was electricity.

  • Every AI model has to be trained.

  • Every prompt has to be processed.

  • Every cloud server has to stay online.

  • Every data center has to operate twenty-four hours a day.

None of that happens without power.

That part of the story is obvious.

The better question is this:

→ “Where does that electricity come from?”

For the United States, the answer isn’t one energy source.

It’s a combination of natural gas, nuclear, hydroelectric power, wind, solar, and other renewables working together to support an increasingly complex electrical grid.

Natural gas remains one of the largest and most reliable sources of electricity generation because it can provide consistent, dispatchable power whenever demand increases.

As artificial intelligence continues expanding, so will the infrastructure supporting it.

More infrastructure requires more electricity and more electricity requires dependable sources of energy.

That’s where DVN entered my thinking.

Not because it’s an AI company and not because I believe artificial intelligence alone will determine its future.

The connection is much simpler than that.

→ If artificial intelligence increases electricity demand...and natural gas remains an important part of producing that electricity...then companies helping supply that fuel may benefit from a long-term trend extending well beyond traditional oil and gas demand.

That’s not a prediction.

It’s a thesis.

One built on asking one more question after everyone else believes they’ve already found the answer.

Why Devon Energy Caught My Attention

One of the biggest mistakes investors can make is falling in love with a theme.

The theme may be right.

The investment may not be.

I think that’s an important distinction.

Artificial intelligence is one of the most compelling long-term investment stories of our generation.

I don’t think that’s a controversial statement anymore. The amount of capital flowing into AI infrastructure, cloud computing, semiconductors, and enterprise software speaks for itself.

However, believing in a trend isn’t enough and the price you pay still matters.

That’s what surprised me during my research.

I expected to find compelling opportunities among utility companies.

The logic was sound, and many of the businesses I reviewed were exactly the kind of companies I’d be comfortable owning for years.

Strong balance sheets, predictable cash flows, and reliable businesses.

There just wasn’t enough of a discount to get me excited.

That’s an important lesson.

A great business doesn’t automatically make a great investment.

Valuation matters and sometimes the market recognizes a great business long before we do.

When that happens, future returns often depend less on the quality of the company and more on the price you paid to own it.

That’s why I changed my question.

Instead of asking:

“Who benefits from AI?”

I started asking:

“Where else might the market be looking?”

That shift led me away from the companies everyone was already talking about and toward an industry that wasn’t receiving nearly as much attention.

Energy.

That’s where DVN stood out.

Morningstar currently estimates the company is trading at roughly 20% below its fair value.

For me, that immediately made the story more interesting.

Here was an established company with diversified operations, meaningful exposure to both oil and natural gas, and what appeared to be an attractive valuation.

More importantly, it wasn’t dependent on a single outcome.

If AI continues increasing electricity demand, DVN could benefit from stronger long-term demand for natural gas.

If traditional energy demand remains resilient, the business continues serving the markets it already knows well.

I like investments with multiple paths to success. DVN appeared to offer exactly that.

Why Invest in DVN Right Now?

Finding a company you admire is only part of the equation.

Timing matters, valuation matters, and for me, technical analysis matters too.

The strongest investment opportunities often appear when multiple pieces of the puzzle begin fitting together at the same time.

That’s what I believe I’m seeing with Devon Energy Corp. today.

Morningstar’s estimate of roughly a 20% discount to fair value first caught my attention because it suggested the market might be pricing the business more pessimistically than its long-term fundamentals justify.

Of course, valuation alone isn’t enough.

A stock can look cheap for months—or even years—if investors continue finding reasons to sell it.

That’s why I also pay attention to the chart.

When I’m evaluating a company, I ask myself a few simple questions.

  • Is the long-term trend improving?

  • Is momentum beginning to shift?

  • Is the stock showing signs of accumulation?

  • Is the broader sector becoming stronger?

Technical analysis doesn’t tell me what to buy.

It helps me decide when I want to buy it.

→ Fundamental analysis answers the question, “Is this a business I want to own?”

→ Technical analysis helps answer, “Is now the right time?”

I don’t need every signal to line up perfectly.

Markets rarely work that way, but when valuation, fundamentals, and technicals begin pointing in the same direction, my confidence usually increases.

That’s the combination that encouraged me to take a closer look at DVN.

Technical Analysis & Chart Markup

DVN is entering a breakout signaled by price closing above its 20-day SMA.

The TSI has curled & crossed and the MACD histogram flipped to the bullish side signaling the momentum is in favor here.

  • Current Price: $44.10

  • Sector: Energy

  • Sub-sector: Exploration & Production

  • Fair Value: $55 (20% discount here)

  • Entry Zone: $41-45

  • Stop Loss Zone: $39.50-40.00

In other words:

→ this is an amazing buy & hold opportunity to pick up shares of DVN, an undervalued / discounted dividend-paying stock to hold for the long-term, if not forever.

→ we can also position trade DVN back to true value and beyond and make massive gains.

→ if you’re an experienced, astute trader, you can write option contracts on DVN and do what you do and make exponential gains.

The Risks

Every investment comes with uncertainty.

DVN is no exception.

→ Unlike software companies that generate recurring subscription revenue, DVN operates in a cyclical business where earnings and cash flow are heavily influenced by commodity prices.

Oil prices fluctuate and natural gas prices fluctuate.

Economic slowdowns can reduce energy demand, while geopolitical events can cause sudden price swings in either direction.

→ Those risks are simply part of investing in the energy sector.

There’s also execution risk.

DVN still has to allocate capital wisely, control operating costs, integrate acquisitions successfully, and continue producing energy efficiently across its portfolio of assets.

Finally, while I believe artificial intelligence could become an important long-term driver of electricity demand, there’s no guarantee that every energy producer benefits equally.

Themes don’t play out in straight lines and markets don’t reward every company the same way.

That’s why I try not to build an investment thesis around a single narrative.

Instead, I look for businesses that can succeed for multiple reasons.

For me, that’s what makes DVN interesting.

Artificial intelligence isn’t the whole story.

It’s simply another reason to pay attention.

My Investment Thesis

One of the reasons I enjoy writing these Top Pick of the Week articles is that they force me to think beyond the obvious investment narrative.

It’s easy to follow headlines.

It’s much harder to understand what’s happening beneath them.

Artificial intelligence may become one of the defining technological shifts of our lifetime. Most investors naturally focus on the companies building the chips, writing the software, or operating the cloud infrastructure that powers it.

Those businesses deserve the attention they’re receiving.

However, I don’t think they’re the only opportunities worth studying.

Sometimes the market rewards investors who take one more step, who ask one more question, and who look one layer deeper.

That’s exactly what happened during my research.

I didn’t begin this article looking for an oil and natural gas producer.

I began by looking for a utility company.

That search led me somewhere I didn’t expect.

It led me to a business with diversified operations, meaningful exposure to both oil and natural gas, high-quality assets across some of North America’s most productive energy regions, and a valuation that Morningstar currently estimates is roughly 20% below fair value.

Just as importantly, it led me to a company that appears positioned to benefit from more than one long-term trend.

Traditional energy demand isn’t disappearing.

At the same time, the infrastructure supporting artificial intelligence is increasing the need for reliable electricity, creating another potential source of long-term demand for natural gas.

That doesn’t make DVN an AI stock and it doesn’t mean artificial intelligence alone will determine the company’s future.

It simply means I believe the market may be overlooking one part of the story.

That’s the kind of opportunity I enjoy researching most.

Not because I think I’ve found a hidden gem, but because I think asking better questions often leads to better investment ideas.

For me, Devon Energy Corp. represents exactly that.

Final Thoughts

When I first started researching this week’s Top Pick, I thought I was writing an article about utility companies.

Instead, I ended up writing about curiosity.

I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

The longer I invest, the more convinced I become that curiosity is one of the most valuable assets an investor can have.

The market encourages us to chase headlines, to react to the latest news, and to buy whatever everyone else is talking about.

Sometimes that’s the right decision and often, it isn’t.

The investors I admire most rarely stop at the obvious answer.

They keep asking questions.

When everyone was talking about artificial intelligence, I asked what powers it.

When I started researching utility companies, I asked where their electricity comes from.

That single question changed where my research led me.

More importantly, it reminded me of something I never want to forget.

Great investing isn’t about finding all the answers.

It’s about asking better questions.

The best opportunities don’t always come from predicting the future.

Sometimes they come from looking one layer deeper.

This week, that led me to Devon Energy Corp. .

→ It’s the jacket.

If you’ve ever watched Jensen give a keynote, you’ve probably noticed it.

The black leather jacket. Always.

At first, I assumed it was just his style, but the more I watched him, the more I realized it was something else.

It was a uniform and that idea has always stayed with me.

I spent my entire childhood wearing a uniform.

  • Catholic school.

  • Elementary through high school.

  • Ice hockey.

  • Same structure.

  • Same routine.

  • Same decision removed every morning before the day even started.

At the time, I couldn’t wait to graduate.

I thought freedom meant finally choosing what I wanted to wear every day.

Then graduation came and I realized something annoying, I hated it.

Every morning started with the same question:

“What am I going to wear today?”

It sounds small, but small decisions add up.

  • What shirt?

  • What shorts?

  • What shoes?

  • Does this match?

  • Is this clean?

  • Do I need something different today?

Eventually, I realized I didn’t want more choices.

I wanted fewer.

So without really planning it, I created my own uniform.

Black shirt and Nike shorts. That’s it.

Simple, comfortable, and most importantly...I never have to think about it.

The older I’ve gotten, the more I’ve noticed how many high-performing people do the same thing.

  • Steve Jobs had the black turtleneck.

  • Mark Zuckerberg became known for the gray T-shirt.

  • Jensen Huang has the black leather jacket.

At first glance, it looks like fashion.

I don’t think it is. I think it’s focus.

Every decision you eliminate is one less decision stealing energy from the things that actually matter.

The goal isn’t the jacket. The jacket is just the symbol.

→ The goal is protecting your attention.

That idea followed me all week.

Not just because of Jensen, but because of Nurse in the Market.

For months, it had a clean white background.

It was fine, professional enough, and simple enough.

However, something always felt off and I couldn’t explain it.

It didn’t feel bad. It just didn’t feel like me.

So I made one change.

I switched the background to black.

Then I refreshed the page and I just sat there looking at it.

For the first time...it didn’t feel like I was building a newsletter.

It felt like I was building a brand.

Not because the writing changed, not because the research changed, and not because the charts changed.

Because the identity changed.

The black background made everything feel sharper, more confident, more grounded, and more aligned with the world I’ve been building.

The Basquiat-inspired thumbnails finally looked like they belonged there.

  • The charts felt more intentional.

  • The whole thing had more edge.

Suddenly, I wanted to write, I wanted to publish, and I wanted to keep building.

And that’s when I started thinking about Jensen again because great leaders build recognizable identities.

People recognize them before they even speak.

Great companies do the same.

  • Consistency creates trust.

  • Identity creates recognition.

  • Focus creates execution.

And while I was thinking about Jensen Huang’s uniform, I started looking at his company again.

The markets were fun last week.

The biggest move wasn’t the indexes—it was the rotation happening underneath them.

A softer-than-expected June jobs report helped calm fears of additional Federal Reserve tightening, giving investors confidence to broaden their exposure beyond mega-cap technology.

Money didn’t leave the market.

It simply changed direction.

Capital rotated into undervalued sectors like Financials , Industrials , Healthcare , and other cyclical businesses that had spent months sitting in the shadows of the AI trade.

Energy markets also kept investors on their toes.

Early in the week, rising tensions in the Middle East pushed oil prices higher on fears of supply disruptions.

However, as peace negotiations progressed later in the week, those concerns eased, sending crude oil back below $70 per barrel and weighing on energy stocks.

That shift rippled across the broader market. Lower oil prices helped ease inflation concerns, influencing everything from Treasury bonds to cryptocurrencies.

While long-term bonds remained under pressure, Bitcoin ($BTCUSD) caught a fresh bid as investors became more comfortable taking on risk again.

Overall, the week felt less like a market correction and more like a healthy broadening of participation.

Rather than relying on a handful of AI leaders to carry the market, investors began looking for opportunities in sectors that had lagged behind.

It’s exactly the kind of rotation I’d expect to see in a maturing bull market, where leadership expands beyond a small group of high-flying stocks.

The Dow Jones (DIA) was the top performing index of the Big 3, while the Nasdaq (QQQ) was the worst.

The biggest story last week wasn’t the market—it was the rotation happening beneath the surface.

Investors weren’t selling stocks and heading for the exits. They were simply changing where they wanted to own them.

After months of leadership from mega-cap technology and AI, money began rotating into undervalued sectors like financials, industrials, and other cyclical businesses that had largely been left behind.

Meanwhile, many semiconductor and AI stocks pulled back as traders took profits after an impressive run.

To me, that looks less like a warning sign and more like a healthy broadening of the market.

II. Section Rotation (11 SPDR S&P 500 Sectors)

One of the clearest themes last week was sector rotation.

Money flowed into areas of the market that had been largely overlooked while many of this year’s biggest technology winners took a breather.

Financials led the market, climbing 3.54% as investors rotated into banks and other value-oriented companies. That strength helped lift the Dow Jones Industrial Average , which gained 1.39% for the week.

Materials followed closely, rising 2.66%, while Health Care finished as the third-best performing sector, advancing 1.87%.

Healthcare’s biggest move came on Thursday after FDA advisors unanimously backed Moderna’s new mRNA-based seasonal flu vaccine. The positive regulatory news sent MRNA shares sharply higher and helped fuel a broader rally across biotechnology and healthcare.

Technology , meanwhile, took a well-deserved pause.

After leading the market for much of the year, Technology slipped 0.29%, while the Nasdaq-100 finished slightly lower as investors locked in profits and rotated into sectors offering more attractive valuations.

To me, this wasn’t a sign that investors are abandoning AI or technology.

It was a healthy reminder that bull markets rarely rely on one sector forever.

As leadership broadens, opportunities often begin appearing in places the market had previously overlooked.

💡 My Takeaway

I actually view this rotation as a positive development.

Healthy bull markets don’t depend on a handful of mega-cap technology stocks carrying the entire market. They broaden over time, with leadership expanding into financials, healthcare, industrials, and other sectors as investors look for value and diversify their exposure.

If this trend continues, I think we’ll start seeing more opportunities outside of AI and semiconductors.

That doesn’t mean the AI story is over—it simply means investors are becoming more selective and looking for quality businesses trading at attractive valuations.

That’s exactly the kind of environment where some of my favorite investment ideas begin to emerge.

III. Important Sectors & ETFs

Beyond the main sectors, here’s what stood out this week:

The biggest story beneath the surface wasn’t investors leaving technology—it was where they chose to stay invested.

One of the clearest examples was the sharp difference between software and semiconductors.

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software ETF climbed 4.09%, while the iShares Semiconductor ETF fell 7.82%.

To me, that’s a sign investors weren’t giving up on technology altogether. Instead, they rotated away from some of the market’s biggest AI and semiconductor winners after an incredible run and into software companies with recurring revenue, stable cash flow, and more attractive valuations.

Outside of technology, investors continued looking for defensive opportunities.

Silver was the week’s best-performing ETF, gaining 4.44%, followed by Gold Miners , which rose 3.63% as precious metals benefited from easing interest rate expectations.

Healthcare also attracted fresh capital, with the iShares Biotechnology ETF hit a new record high after climbing 3.11% after positive regulatory news surrounding MRNA’s seasonal flu vaccine.

Meanwhile, The Russell 2000 Index and Homebuilders struggled as investors favored larger, higher-quality companies with stronger balance sheets.

💡 My Takeaway

To me, this wasn’t a “risk-off” week. It was a selective rotation.

Investors didn’t abandon technology—they became more selective within it. They also broadened their exposure by adding positions in financials, healthcare, precious metals, and other sectors that had been overshadowed by the AI trade.

That’s exactly what I’d expect to see in a healthy market.

Leadership begins to expand and when leadership expands, new opportunities often emerge where few investors have been looking.

I like ARKK and IGV for trade ideas this week. I also like GDX and GDXJ if price confirms the accumulation zone here. NUGT, GDXU, and JNUG for leveraged plays. I’m looking for any pullback on the IWM for small-cap trade setups.

IV. What Assets & Sectors I’m Watching

Here’s what I’m focused on next week:

  • Oil (USO): Will price keep continuing lower here or find a bottom.

    • XLE and XOP both put in doji bars last Thursday, I’m watching for price to put in a bottom.

    • Brent Crude Oil ($BRENT) fell even more and is trading below its 200-day SMA.

  • Dow Jones (DIA): Price is trading at a near extreme-high RSI reading. Use caution here and lock in profits when necessary and leave some to run.

  • The S&P 500 (SPY): Held its breakout. Let’s see if price holds above its 20-day SMA or not here.

  • The Nasdaq (QQQ): The breakout failed. Price closed below its 20-day SMA and came back into an accumulation zone.

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Price has entered a breakout here below its 200-day SMA.

    • CoinShares Bitcoin Mining ETF fell over 10% last week and is trading at a near extreme-low RSI reading.

  • Gold (GLD): Price is an accumulation zone giving us a potential trade idea this week.

    • Price is trading below its 200-day SMA which is considered bearish.

I’m watching USO for a bottom and watching to see if the QQQ holds here.

Now it feels unusual when I don’t see one.

The other morning alone, I counted three.

One was black, one was white, and one was wrapped in a colorful mural.

Somewhere along the way, I stopped looking at them as a novelty.

I started looking at them as evidence.

Evidence that autonomous driving is quietly moving from experiment to everyday life.

Last week, that observation led me to Alphabet Inc. .

Waymo was the obvious story, but after publishing that article, I couldn’t stop thinking about a different question.

Not:

Who wins autonomous vehicles?

But:

Who wins because autonomous vehicles become mainstream?

I think that’s the more interesting investment question.

Every major technological revolution creates an ecosystem.

The smartphone didn’t just create Apple, Inc. .

It created semiconductor companies, app developers, cloud providers, payment processors, and accessory manufacturers.

Entire businesses that didn’t exist before smartphones became part of everyday life.

Artificial intelligence is following the same pattern.

There won’t be one winner.

There will be an ecosystem of winners and I believe autonomous driving may follow that same path.

→ Waymo may become one of the most recognizable names.

→ Uber Technologies, Inc. may become one of the largest demand platforms.

→ Tesla Inc. may continue pushing the industry forward.

However, behind every autonomous vehicle is another layer.

  • The companies building the intelligence.

  • The software.

  • The vision systems.

  • The mapping technology.

  • The safety infrastructure.

Those companies may end up benefiting just as much as the names making headlines.

That’s where I found this week’s Top Pick of the Week— Mobileye Global Inc. .

Why Mobileye Is Different

Most people have never heard of Mobileye (MBLY).

Ironically, they’ve probably benefited from its technology without realizing it.

MBLY develops advanced driver-assistance systems—commonly called ADAS—as well as autonomous driving technology that helps vehicles understand the world around them.

Think of it this way.

A human driver constantly processes information.

We recognize traffic lights, we notice pedestrians, and we judge distance.

We stay inside our lane and we predict what the driver ahead of us might do next.

Autonomous vehicles have to learn how to do all of those things.

That’s where MBLY comes in. Its technology helps vehicles see, interpret, and respond to the road in real time.

That includes identifying:

  • Lane markings

  • Pedestrians

  • Cyclists

  • Traffic lights

  • Stop signs

  • Road edges

  • Construction zones

  • Other vehicles

  • Unexpected hazards

And then making safe driving decisions within fractions of a second.

That’s incredibly difficult and it’s one reason autonomous driving has taken longer to develop than many people expected.

What I like about MBLY is that it isn’t a speculative company hoping autonomous driving eventually becomes important.

Its technology is already deployed in millions of vehicles around the world through relationships with major automakers.

In other words...the company isn’t waiting for autonomy to arrive.

It’s already participating in it.

That gives MBLY something many autonomous driving companies don’t have.

Real-world experience, real-world driving data, and years of experience solving safety problems long before fully autonomous vehicles become common.

To me, that’s an edge and a meaningful competitive advantage.

Every Technology Revolution Has Layers

One mistake investors often make is assuming the biggest opportunity is always the company everyone can see.

History says otherwise.

When smartphones became mainstream...AAPL won; however, so did companies making chips.

  • Cloud infrastructure.

  • App marketplaces.

  • Digital payments.

  • Accessories.

  • Mobile software.

The same thing happened with the internet and we’re watching it happen again with artificial intelligence.

Autonomous driving won’t be any different.

There won’t be one winner.

There will be an ecosystem.

Some companies will build the vehicles.

  • Others will provide the software.

  • Others will manage fleets.

  • Others will build mapping systems.

  • Others will provide mobility services.

And that’s exactly why MBLY caught my attention.

It sits underneath much of the technology making autonomous driving possible.

That isn’t always the flashiest position; however, sometimes the companies building the infrastructure become some of the most valuable businesses over time.

Why This Trade Matters

For years, MBLY has primarily been known as a technology supplier.

It built the systems that help automakers make vehicles smarter and safer.

That’s already a meaningful business, but something is beginning to change.

MBLY isn’t simply trying to supply autonomous technology anymore.

It’s preparing to become an operator and I think that’s a much bigger story.

Instead of only selling technology to automakers, MBLY wants to prove its autonomous driving platform can power its own robotaxi operation.

That changes the investment thesis.

→ A supplier earns revenue by selling products.

→ An operator has the potential to generate recurring transportation revenue, manage fleets, build rider relationships, and participate directly in the economics of autonomous mobility.

That’s a completely different opportunity and that’s when MBLY became much more interesting to me.

The Robotaxi Catalyst

One of the biggest reasons MBLY caught my attention is that the company is preparing to move beyond supplying autonomous driving technology and into operating its own robotaxi business.

Management recently announced plans to launch a vertically integrated robotaxi service in a major U.S. metropolitan market beginning in 2027.

The initial deployment is expected to start with approximately 100 vehicles.

Now, let’s be honest.

One hundred robotaxis isn’t going to change the world overnight, but every major technological rollout starts somewhere.

Amazon.com, Inc. didn’t begin with nationwide fulfillment centers.

UBER didn’t launch in every city.

TSLA didn’t produce millions of vehicles in its first year.

Successful businesses prove the model first.

Then they scale.

That’s why I find this announcement interesting.

For the first time, investors have a real milestone to watch.

Not a vague promise and not a futuristic concept.

→ A planned deployment with a timeline.

Execution risk absolutely remains.

Launching a robotaxi business is difficult and scaling one is even harder.

However, I would rather evaluate a company working toward a measurable goal than one simply talking about what might happen someday.

Another Piece Of The Puzzle: Moovit

As I continued researching MBLY, I found another piece of the story that most investors probably overlook.

MBLY owns Moovit.

At first glance, it doesn’t seem that important.

Then you think about what the company actually does.

Building autonomous vehicles is only half the challenge.

Someone still has to manage the fleet.

  • Coordinate routes.

  • Optimize trips.

  • Reduce wait times.

  • Balance supply and demand.

  • Integrate with cities.

  • Support riders.

That’s exactly the type of problem Moovit helps solve.

Suddenly this isn’t just a company building autonomous driving technology.

It’s building pieces of an entire mobility ecosystem.

That caught my attention because the companies that win major technological shifts often solve more than one problem.

They build platforms.

The AI Story Most People Miss

When people hear “AI,” they usually think about chatbots.

  • Image generators.

  • Virtual assistants.

  • Large language models.

MBLY is using AI in a completely different way. Its AI has to understand the physical world.

Every second, autonomous vehicles need to recognize lane markings.

  • Traffic lights.

  • Cyclists.

  • Construction zones.

  • Pedestrians.

  • Road debris.

Then they need to predict what those objects might do next and then they need to make safe driving decisions almost instantly.

That’s an entirely different level of artificial intelligence.

The consequences aren’t a bad chatbot response and the consequences are happening at highway speeds.

That’s what makes MBLY interesting.

This isn’t AI creating text.

It’s AI making real-world decisions and I think that becomes increasingly valuable as autonomous driving continues to mature.

Why Invest In MBLY Right Now?

1. The Stock Has Already Been Through A Reset

One thing I try to avoid is buying into excessive excitement.

MBLY isn’t trading like the market’s favorite AI stock.

It’s a company that has already disappointed investors, reset expectations, and spent time rebuilding confidence.

That’s often where I begin paying attention.

Not when everyone is optimistic, but when expectations have become more realistic while the long-term opportunity still exists.

2. The Core Business Is Improving

One encouraging sign is that MBLY’s core ADAS business continues showing signs of strength.

The company recently reported improving revenue trends and raised its full-year outlook after stronger-than-expected demand.

That tells me this isn’t a story built entirely on robotaxis.

The business people often forget about is still growing and that’s important because future opportunities are much easier to pursue when today’s business remains healthy.

3. A Clear Robotaxi Catalyst

One thing markets like is visibility.

Investors now have a specific milestone to watch.

A planned U.S. robotaxi launch in 2027 gives the market something tangible to evaluate.

Will it succeed?

Nobody knows, but successful investing isn’t about certainty.

It’s about identifying opportunities before everyone agrees.

4. Valuation

Another reason MBLY stands out is valuation.

The stock appears to be trading below several fair value estimates, suggesting investors may still be discounting much of its long-term autonomous driving opportunity.

I like finding companies where expectations have already cooled while the long-term thesis remains intact.

Those setups don’t always work, but when they do, they can be rewarding.

5. Multiple Ways To Win

What I like most about MBLY is that the investment thesis doesn’t depend on a single outcome.

The company has exposure to:

  • Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS)

  • Autonomous driving software

  • Computer vision

  • Mapping technology

  • Mobility operations through Moovit

  • Planned robotaxi deployment

  • Artificial intelligence

That’s a lot of optionality inside one company.

6. Technical Setup

MBLY is entering a breakout and trading fairly valued here.

  • Current Price: $9.68

  • Sector: Technology

  • Sub-sector: Electronic Equipment

  • Fair Value: $12.18

  • Entry Zone: $8.40-8.50

  • Stop Loss Zone: $7.50

In other words:

→ this is a nice opportunity to pick up shares of a speculation play to buy and hold for the long-term, if not forever.

→ we can also position trade MBLY to true value and beyond and make massive gains.

→ if you’re an experienced, astute trader, you can write option contracts on MBLY and do what you do and make exponential gains.

The Risk

This isn’t a low-risk investment and I think it’s important to acknowledge that.

MBLY is much more concentrated than GOOGL.

GOOGL has Search.

  • YouTube.

  • Google Cloud.

  • Android.

  • Gemini.

  • Advertising.

  • Waymo.

MBLY doesn’t have that level of diversification.

Its future depends much more heavily on continued adoption of autonomous driving technology.

  • If robotaxis take longer than expected...

  • If competition intensifies...

  • If execution falls short...

The stock could remain under pressure.

That’s the reality.

I don’t view MBLY as the conservative way to invest in autonomous vehicles.

I view it as the higher-risk, higher-upside infrastructure play inside the ecosystem.

My Thesis

Last week, I wrote about one of the companies everyone can see.

This week, I’m writing about one of the companies many investors haven’t thought about yet.

That distinction matters.

→ Waymo represents what autonomous driving looks like on the surface.

→ MBLY represents much of what makes it possible underneath.

I believe autonomous vehicles will create an ecosystem of winners rather than a single dominant company and MBLY has positioned itself in several important parts of that ecosystem.

The company has years of experience developing advanced driver-assistance technology.

  • It has relationships with global automakers.

  • It owns mobility infrastructure through Moovit.

  • It has a planned robotaxi deployment.

And it continues applying artificial intelligence to one of the most complex engineering problems of our generation.

Could the market still be underestimating that opportunity?

I think it’s possible.

That’s why MBLY earned this week’s Top Pick of the Week.

Final Thoughts

The best investment ideas don’t always begin with a stock screen.

Sometimes they begin with paying attention.

Last week, I couldn’t stop noticing Waymo vehicles driving around Miami.

That observation led me to Alphabet , but it also led me to a bigger realization.

Every technological revolution creates the companies everyone talks about and the companies quietly building the infrastructure behind the scenes.

Those quieter companies don’t always receive the headlines.

Sometimes they become the opportunity.

Autonomous vehicles are no longer a futuristic concept.

The question isn’t whether autonomy is beginning to arrive.

I think it already is.

The question is which companies will quietly become essential as that future continues unfolding.

For me, Mobileye Global Inc. is one of the answers worth watching.

The markets were volatile last week and experienced an aggressive flight to safety driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, new transatlantic tariff threats, and sticky inflation.

This forced a massive rotation out of speculative growth assets and into defensive, value-oriented positions.

The three major U.S. stock indexes posted a difficult week, marked by five consecutive days of declines and heavy sell-offs in mega-cap technology and chip stocks.

Bonds (TLT) continued to climb higher and break through its 200-day SMA.

The Dow Jones (DIA) is still trading above its 20-day SMA while both the Nasdaq (QQQ) and the S&P 500 (SPY) closed below their 20-day SMA and put in doji bars on Friday.

Bitcoin (BTC) didn’t hold its previous breakout attempts and looks to be rolling over into a decline here.

Gold (GLD) may have found a bottom here. I’m looking for confirmation of an accumulation zone this week.

Oil (USO) continued to sell-off even more and is trading at an extreme-low RSI reading. Despite the sudden naval conflict in the Strait of Hormuz, crude oil faced a heavy sell-off.

Brent Crude Oil ($BRENT) is now trading below its 200-day SMA, which is considered bearish. Price put in an imperfect doji bar signaling a potential reversal is underway and a possible bottom is in.

The Dow Jones (DIA) was the top performing index of the Big 3, while the Nasdaq (QQQ) was the worst.

Health Care was the top performing sector of the S&P 500 , while Technology was the worst.

The top three performing sectors were Health Care (XLV), Real Estate (XLRE), and Utilities (XLU).

The worst three performing sectors were Technology (XLK), Communication Services (XLC), and Consumer Discretionary (XLY).

Health Care was the big winner last week! Price is trading at an extreme-high RSI reading along with other health care stocks like JNJ, LLY, and MRK.

Utilities is trading at a near extreme-high RSI reading.

Consumer Staples broke out! Large-cap food, beverage, and household product manufacturers served their traditional role as a safe place to hide during geopolitical crises.

There’s been a sector rotation from technology stocks to defensive and industrial stocks.

III. Important Sectors & ETFs

Beyond the main sectors, here’s what stood out this week:

The Russell 2000 Index continues to climb higher and reached another new record high last week! The RSI isn’t extreme yet so price has room to keep running.

SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF also reached a record high and hit an extreme-high RSI reading. It’s time to lock in some profits in KRE/DPST.

iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF reached a new record high and is also banging an extreme-high RSI reading giving us the signal to lock in profits in PILL.

iShares Semiconductors ETF plummeted over 7% and closed below its 20-day SMA signaling a decline may be underway.

Ark Innovation ETF was looking like it was going to roll over at the beginning of the week; however, price closed back above its 20-day SMA and the MACD histogram started ticking upwards on Friday displaying bullish momentum.

Many ARKK components are small-to-mid-cap growth companies that have been beaten down for a long time. They are benefiting from the same "anti-mega-cap" rotation lifting IWM.

Gold Miners and Gold Miners Junior may have put in a bottom here as price is holding its previous support point and put in a doji bar last Thursday signaling a potential reversal.

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF looks to be forming an accumulation zone here.

iShares Silver Trust tanked over 10% last week and is trading below its 200-day SMA.

I like ARKK and IGV for trade ideas this week. I also like GDX and GDXJ if price confirms the accumulation zone here. NUGT, GDXU, and JNUG for leveraged plays. I’m looking for any pullback on the IWM for small-cap trasde setups.

  • Oil (USO): Will price keep continuing lower here or find a bottom.

    • XLE and XOP are both in declines and I’m watching for price to put in a bottom.

    • Brent Crude Oil ($BRENT) fell 8% and is trading below its 200-day SMA.

  • Dow Jones (DIA): Price still hasn’t tagged an extreme-high RSI reading indicating it still has more room to run. Price is also above its 5-day EMA signaling the trade is still on.

  • The S&P 500 (SPY) & The Nasdaq (QQQ): Both indexes didn’t hold their breakouts last week. Both closed below their 20-day SMA and put in doji bars on Friday signaling a possible price reversal.

    • I’m watching to see if price holds here or not. Or rolls over.

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Price was unable to hold its previous breakout moves and looks to be breaking support and its accumulation zone.

  • Gold (GLD): I’m watching to see if price holds here or continues lower.

    • Price put in a doji bar on Thursday with an extreme-low RSI reading indicating a bottom could be in here.

    • Price is trading below its 200-day SMA which is considered bearish.

I’m watching GLD and USO for bottoms.

Let’s take a closer look at each setup.

1. Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER)

Uber Technologies, Inc. is on the move and in a breakout!

Typically when the RSI is greater than 50 the trade is past a buy point so you could look to add on any price weakness or RSI pullback below 50.

UBER is also trading fairly valued here, but I think the stock is worth much more so its still not a bad place to add shares for a trade or a buy and hold position.

I’m looking to add to my leveraged position trade in UBRL.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • 200-day SMA: $81.50

  • Second target zone: $93

  • Previous high target zone: $100

UBER is a technology provider that matches riders with drivers, hungry people with restaurants and food couriers, and shippers with carriers.

The firm's on-demand technology platform is currently utilized by traditional cars as well as autonomous vehicles, but could eventually be used for additional products and services, such as delivery via drones or electronic vehicle take-off and landing (eVTOL) technology.

UBER operates in over 70 countries, with over 202 million users who order rides or food at least once a month.

According to Morningstar, UBER has a fair value of $85 and is currently trading fairly valued.

UBER is part of the Industrials sector (XLI) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Transportation Services sub-sector.

If you like leverage you could look to put on a double-leveraged swing trade in UBRL. Remember, when trading leveraged funds to use the un-leveraged chart for your trade analysis and plan.

2. Energy Transfer LP (ET)

Energy Transfer LP is entering a breakout here signaled by price closing above its 20-day SMA.

Price has been in an accumulation zone and trading undervalued.

This is a great opportunity to add to or start a buy and hold position.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • Previous high target zone: $20.50

  • Fair value target: $24

ET is a diversified midstream firm operating from wellhead to consuming demand.

It handles natural gas, natural gas liquids, crude oil, and refined products.

Commodities are moved through its network of field-level gathering and processing to refineries and demand centers.

According to Morningstar, ET has a fair value of $24 and is currently trading undervalued.

ET is part of the Energy (XLE) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Pipelines sub-sector.

The markets were fun last week!

The Federal Reserve decided to hold interest rates steady at 3.50% to 3.75%. The U.S. and Iran announced a peace deal fully reopening the crucial Strait of Hormuz waterway.

Bonds (TLT) continued to climb higher and break through its 200-day SMA.

The Dow Jones (DIA) also climbed higher and reached a new record high! Both the Nasdaq (QQQ) and the S&P 500 (SPY) broke out and are back in play here.

Bitcoin (BTC) is in an accumulation zone with a possible breakout underway. Price already attempted its first breakout, but failed, which is typically bearish. Let’s see if price is able to hold the next breakout here.

Gold (GLD) is in an accumulation zone. I’m watching to see if price holds here or rolls over.

Oil (USO) continued sell-off even more and is trading at a near extreme-low RSI reading. The sharp drop in crude back into the mid-$70s heavily weighed on oil producers and exploration companies, driving the broad energy sector selloff

The massive drop in oil prices acted as a tailwind for growth and cyclical sectors like Technology (XLK) and Industrials (XLI).

Lower projected energy costs mitigated broader inflation concerns, facilitating a "risk-on" environment for equity investors

The Nasdaq (QQQ) was the top performing index of the Big 3, while the Dow Jones (DIA) was the worst.

Consumer Staples is entered a decline right above its 200-day SMA.

Communication Services and Consumer Discretionary are both setting up in accumulation zones below their 200-day SMA. This gives us some potential ideas this week.

Energy plunged as a historic U.S.-Iran peace deal reopened the Strait of Hormuz.

All 9/11 SPDR sectors are trading above their 200-day SMA here, which is typically a bullish sign. The two sectors trading below their 200-day SMA are the XLC and XLY. I really like XLY stocks for trade ideas here.

1. Joby Aviation, Inc. (JOBY)

Joby Aviation, Inc. is in an accumulation zone here below its 200-day SMA.

Price dropped an anchor point, went sideways, and closed above its 5-day EMA signaling an entry into the trade.

The MACD histogram has been ticking upwards towards the bullish side displaying the momentum is in favor here.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • 200-day SMA: $12.48

  • First target zone: $16

  • Previous high target zone: $19

JOBY is a transportation company developing an all-electric, vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxi for commercial passenger service.

Its Joby eVTOL aircraft is designed to transport a pilot and up to four passengers or an expected payload of up to 1,000 pounds at speeds of up to 200 mph. The aircraft is optimized for urban routes, with a target range of up to 100 miles on a single charge.

The company is also developing an app-based platform that will help consumers to book rides directly through its service. It has one operating and reportable segment, air transportation and related services.

According to Morningstar, JOBY has a fair value of $8.58 and is currently trading fairly valued.

JOBY is part of the Industrials sector (XLI) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Airlines sub-sector.

Amazon.com, Inc. is an accumulation zone right above its 200-day SMA.

Its 200-day SMA is being used as support and the stop loss zone. If price breaks this line, close the trade.

I’m looking to add to my leveraged position trade in AMZU.

This is a great opportunity to start a buy and hold position and to put on a swing trade here.

AMZN has transformed online shopping forever.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • Previous high target zone: $275

  • Fair value target: $280

AMZN is the leading online retailer and marketplace for third party sellers.

Retail related revenue represents approximately 74% of total, followed by Amazon Web Services (17%), and advertising services (9%).

International segments constitute 22% of Amazon's total revenue, led by Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan.

According to Morningstar, AMZN has a fair value of $280 and is currently trading undervalued.

AMZN is part of the Consumer Discretionary (XLY) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Broadline Retailers sub-sector.

GOOGL gives investors exposure to artificial intelligence, cloud computing, digital advertising, video streaming, mobile software, mapping technology, and autonomous vehicles—all inside one company.

That’s a rare combination.

Why Waymo Caught My Attention

The reason GOOGL landed on my radar this week is simple.

Waymo is becoming visible.

For years, autonomous vehicles felt like something people talked about but rarely experienced.

Today, that’s changing.

In Miami, I regularly see Waymo vehicles operating in real-world conditions.

→ Not in a testing video.

→ Not in a press release.

→ On actual streets.

That matters because when a technology moves from theory to reality, adoption often accelerates and autonomous driving isn’t just about transportation.

→ It’s about logistics.

→ It’s about delivery.

→ It’s about labor efficiency.

→ It’s about how people and goods move through cities.

That’s a much bigger opportunity than most people realize.

Every autonomous vehicle I see in Miami is a reminder that Waymo isn’t a prototype anymore. It’s operating in the real world.

The UBER Connection

One possibility I’ve been thinking about is whether Waymo and Uber Technologies, Inc. become even more connected over time.

Not because one company needs to buy the other, but because their strengths complement each other.

UBER already has:

  • The drivers

  • The routing systems

  • The payment infrastructure

  • The food delivery network

  • The customer behavior

Waymo has the autonomous driving technology.

Put those pieces together and it’s easy to imagine a future where autonomous vehicles move people and deliver food through platforms consumers already use every day.

That doesn’t mean it happens tomorrow, but it feels logical.

And it’s one reason I think the autonomous vehicle opportunity may be bigger than robotaxis alone.

Why Invest in GOOGL Right Now?

1. Quality

Alphabet is one of the highest-quality technology companies in the world.

The company generates enormous cash flow, owns some of the most valuable digital platforms ever built, and continues investing heavily in future growth opportunities.

Quality matters and GOOGL has it.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

GOOGL isn’t watching the AI race from the sidelines.

It’s one of the companies helping shape it.

Through Gemini, Google Cloud AI products, AI Overviews, AI Mode, and its custom AI infrastructure, GOOGL is deeply embedded in the next generation of computing.

Most investors understand the AI story, but what makes GOOGL unique is that AI touches nearly every part of the business.

→ YouTube.

→ Advertising.

→ Cloud.

→ Productivity tools.

→ Maps.

It’s all connected.

Waymo gives GOOGL something many investors may not fully appreciate.

  • Current Price: $373.35

  • Sector: Communication Services XLC 0.08%↑

  • Sub-sector: Internet

  • Fair Value: $433 (17% discount to fair value)

  • Entry Zone: $360-375

  • Stop Loss Zone: $340-345

In other words:

→ this is an amazing buy & hold opportunity to pick up shares of an undervalued / discounted stock to hold for the long-term, if not forever.

→ we can take a 2x leveraged swing trade in GGLL for quicker price movements, cheaper share prices, smaller position sizes, and amplified gains (and, losses).

→ we can also position trade GOOGL back to true value and beyond and make massive gains.

→ if you’re an experienced, astute trader, you can write option contracts on GOOGL and do what you do and make exponential gains.

The Healthcare Angle

As a nurse, this is the part of the GOOGL story that doesn’t get enough attention.

Most people associate GOOGL with search engines, advertising, and AI.

Few people think about healthcare.

However, GOOGL has spent years applying artificial intelligence to medical research, diagnostics, and disease detection.

One area that caught my attention is cancer screening.

Researchers have published studies showing that AI systems developed by GOOGL can assist in detecting breast cancer on mammograms and help identify abnormalities that may otherwise be missed.

That’s meaningful because healthcare isn’t just about treatment.

→ It’s about earlier detection.

→ Better outcomes.

→ Better decisions.

Will healthcare become GOOGL’s largest business?

Probably not, but I think it highlights something important about the company.

GOOGL isn’t building AI for one product.

It’s building AI across an entire ecosystem.

  • Search.

  • Cloud.

  • Autonomous vehicles.

  • Healthcare.

  • Scientific research.

And that’s part of what makes the company so interesting long term.

What Makes This Trade Interesting

This isn’t a pure autonomous vehicle trade and that’s exactly why I like it.

If someone buys a company that depends entirely on autonomous vehicles succeeding, the entire investment thesis rests on one outcome.

GOOGL is different.

→ Search still matters.

→ YouTube still matters.

→ Cloud still matters.

→ Advertising still matters.

→ AI still matters.

→ And Waymo becomes an additional layer of upside.

That creates a cleaner risk-reward profile in my view.

I’m not betting everything on autonomous vehicles.

I’m investing in a dominant technology company that also happens to own one of the most advanced autonomous driving businesses in the world.

My Thesis

GOOGL offers a rare combination of quality, scale, cash flow, AI leadership, and autonomous vehicle optionality.

Most people think they’re buying Google Search.

I think they’re also buying:

  • YouTube

  • Google Cloud

  • Gemini

  • AI infrastructure

  • Android

  • Maps

  • Healthcare innovation

  • And Waymo

That’s a powerful package.

And every time I see another Waymo driving through Miami, the thesis feels a little less theoretical.

The future isn’t coming someday.

It’s already on the road.

Final Thoughts

The best investment ideas often start with observation.

  • You see something.

  • You notice a pattern.

  • You ask why it matters.

  • Then you look at the company behind it.

This week, I kept seeing Waymo.

And every time I saw one, I came back to the same conclusion:

Alphabet Inc. may be much more than a search company.

The markets were wild last week!

Stock market participant sentiment was low at the beginning of the week due to AI devaluation and inflation talks, but increased later in the week with a potential peace deal between the U.S. and Middle East.

Space Exploration Technologies Corp (SPCX) completed its record-breaking initial public offering (IPO), also known as a stock launch, and was successfully listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

The Dow Jones (DIA) tested its 20-day SMA, but closed back above it, signaling its still in play here.

Both the Nasdaq (QQQ) and the S&P 500 (SPY) put in some sideways movement and are back to trading in accumulation zones with possible breakouts underway here.

The breakout in Bonds (TLT) regained its momentum and is trading back above its 5-day EMA as it approaches is 200-day SMA.

Bitcoin (BTC) is trading in an accumulation zone below its 200-day SMA.

Gold (GLD) is setting up in a potential accumulation zone here. Price printed a doji bar on Friday after tagging an extreme-low RSI reading indicating a potential bottom could be in here right below its 200-day SMA.

Oil (USO) sold off on Friday and may be breaking support. I’m watching to see if price continues falling or bounces back here.

The Nasdaq (QQQ) was the top performing index of the Big 3, while the S&P 500 (SPY) was the worst.

Materials , Consumer Staples , Technology and Utilities broke out!

Financials is on the move and trading above its 200-day SMA.

Communication Services and Consumer Discretionary are both setting up in accumulation zones below their 200-day SMA.

All 9/11 SPDR sectors are trading above their 200-day SMA here, which is typically a bullish sign. The two sectors trading below their 200-day SMA are the XLC and XLY. I really like XLU for a trade idea here.

Beyond the main sectors, here’s what stood out this week:

The Russell 2000 Index reached a new all-time high last week!

iShares Semiconductors ETF tested its 20-day SMA, but closed back above it signaling its still in play here.

Regional Banks broke out and is on the move!

Ark Innovation ETF is setting up in an accumulation zone right below its 200-day SMA giving us a potential trade idea this week.

Gold Miners and Gold Miners Junior are setting up in accumulation zones here below their 200-day SMA.

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF entered a decline below its 200-day SMA.

I like GDXU, NUGT, and JNUG here leveraged trades in gold miners here.

Here’s what I’m focused on next week:

  • Oil (USO): Will price continue lower, bounce back, or hold here.

    • XLE and XOP are both holding support. I’m watching to see if price holds or rolls over here.

  • Dow Jones (DIA): Price tested its 20-day SMA, but price closed back above it, which is very bullish.

  • The S&P 500 (SPY) & The Nasdaq (QQQ): both are setting up in accumulation zones with possible breakouts underway.

    • Will price continue to hold here or climb higher?

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Looks to have put in a bottom here and is trading in an accumulation zone!

  • Gold (GLD): Will price hold here? Is this the bottom after hitting an extreme-low RSI reading?

    • Price is trading below its 200-day SMA.

VII. Trade Breakdowns

Let’s take a closer look at each setup.

1. Celanese Corp. (CE)

Celanese Corp. is trading right along its 200-day SMA with a potential breakout underway here.

Price closed above its 20-day SMA on Friday signaling a breakout is likely underway. CE has been in an accumulation zone and trading 44% undervalued here.

This is a great opportunity to start a buy and hold position or enter a simple swing trade back to its previous high target of $68.

The Materials sector broke out last week indicating the momentum is in favor here for materials stocks.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • First target zone: $62

  • Previous high target zone: $68

  • Fair value: $95

CE is one of the world's largest producers of acetic acid and its downstream derivative chemicals, which are used in various end markets, including coatings and adhesives.

The company is also one of the largest producers of specialty polymers, which are used in the automotive, electronics, medical, building, and consumer end markets.

The company also makes cellulose derivatives used in cigarette filters.

According to Morningstar, CE has a fair value of $95 and is currently trading undervalued.

CE is part of the Materials sector (XLB) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Commodity Chemicals sub-sector.

2. Airbnb Inc. (ABNB)

Airbnb Inc. is back in an accumulation zone and trading 21% undervalued here.

The breakout in ABNB failed. Price then tested its 200-day SMA, but managed to close above it and get back into its accumulation zone.

This gives us more time to add shares or get in the trade, if you missed last week’s entry.

This is a great opportunity to start a buy and hold position and to put on a swing here.

ABNB transformed hotels, travels, and tourism forever.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • Previous high target zone: $146

  • Fair value target: $170

ABNB is the world’s largest online alternative accommodation travel agency; it also offers booking services for boutique hotels, experiences, and hotel-like services.

ABNB’s platform offers over 9 million active accommodation listings. Listings from the company’s 5 million-plus hosts are spread over almost every country in the world.

According to Morningstar, ABNB has a fair value of $170 and is currently trading undervalued.

ABNB is part of the Consumer Discretionary (XLY) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Travel & Tourism sub-sector.

When I first connected with through Substack, I thought we were simply talking about publishing.

Then I learned something interesting.

I’m a stock trader and investor.

When I mentioned that to Robyn, she casually told me her mother was heavily involved in the stock market decades ago—long before investing became something you could do from an app on your phone.

This was a time when market information moved slower, trades were placed differently, and investing wasn’t nearly as accessible as it is today.

Then I learned Robyn spent seven years doing public relations for an investment firm.

And with Miami preparing to host matches during the FIFA World Cup, our conversations naturally started drifting toward travel.

That got me thinking.

Millions of visitors are expected to travel throughout the United States for the tournament.

Many won’t be staying in traditional hotels.

→ They’ll be booking homes.

→ Apartments.

→ Unique stays.

→ Local experiences.

Exactly the type of travel behavior ABNB has spent years building its platform around.

And that’s what led me to this week’s Top Pick of The Week.

The Trade: Airbnb Inc. (ABNB)

This week’s Top Pick of the Week is Airbnb Inc. .

ABNB is one of those rare companies that didn’t just build a successful business.

It changed consumer behavior.

Think about companies like Uber Technologies Inc. .

UBER didn’t simply create a ride-sharing app.

It changed how people think about transportation.

ABNB did something similar for travel.

Before ABNB, most travelers defaulted to hotels.

Today, millions of people actively search for homes, apartments, unique stays, cabins, villas, and local experiences before they even consider booking a hotel.

That’s a massive shift.

And when a company permanently changes how people behave, I pay attention.

What Is ABNB?

ABNB is a global travel marketplace that connects guests with hosts offering short-term stays, vacation rentals, unique accommodations, and experiences.

The company operates in hundreds of countries and has become one of the most recognizable brands in modern travel.

What makes ABNB particularly interesting is that it doesn’t own hotels, it doesn’t own resorts, and it doesn’t own traditional lodging inventory.

Instead, ABNB operates a marketplace.

→ Hosts provide the supply.

→ Travelers create the demand.

ABNB sits in the middle and collects fees as activity moves through the platform.

That asset-light marketplace model has helped the company scale globally while maintaining strong profitability.

Why ABNB Matters

ABNB is no longer simply a place to book a room.

It’s become a platform people use for:

  • Family vacations

  • Weekend trips

  • Remote work stays

  • Group travel

  • Event-based travel

  • Unique experiences

  • Local stays in neighborhoods hotels may not fully serve

That’s important because travel behavior continues evolving.

→ People increasingly want flexibility.

→ They want space.

→ They want experiences.

And ABNB sits directly in the middle of those trends.

The World Cup Catalyst

This is where the story gets interesting.

Miami is preparing to host matches during the FIFA World Cup.

Millions of visitors are expected to travel throughout the United States as part of the tournament.

That matters for ABNB.

Large events often create pressure on hotel inventory.

→ Rooms become expensive.

→ Availability becomes limited.

→ Travelers start looking for alternatives.

→ Families may want entire homes.

→ Groups may want shared accommodations.

→ International visitors may prefer local neighborhoods over traditional tourist districts.

ABNB is built for that behavior.

Now, I’m not suggesting ABNB becomes a great company because of the World Cup.

Far from it.

ABNB was a great business before the World Cup.

However, the tournament creates a clear travel catalyst around a company already positioned to benefit from large-scale event-driven demand.

Why Invest in ABNB Right Now?

1. The Stock Appears Undervalued

One of my favorite setups is finding a high-quality company trading below what I believe it’s worth.

Based on fair value estimates, ABNB appears to be trading at roughly a 21% discount, with fair value estimates near $170 per share.

That immediately caught my attention.

→ Great company.

→ Temporary discount.

That’s the kind of setup I like.

2. The Technical Structure Looks Healthy

Technically, ABNB is showing encouraging signs.

The stock is currently trading above its 200-day moving average, which tells me the longer-term structure remains intact.

At the same time, price appears to be sitting inside an accumulation zone.

To me, that’s interesting.

The stock doesn’t look broken, but it also doesn’t look fully extended.

This may still be early, but this is how you stay one step ahead of the markets.

3. The Sector Is Holding Up

ABNB sits inside the consumer discretionary sector.

Recently, consumer discretionary has been showing relative strength, holding near its 200-day SMA and closing green during sessions when the broader market struggled.

I pay attention to that.

I don’t just want a strong stock.

I want a strong stock inside a sector showing signs of strength.

The AI Angle

ABNB isn’t an AI stock in the traditional sense.

It isn’t selling AI chips and it isn’t competing with ChatGPT, but ABNB is quietly using AI throughout its platform.

The company has been investing in AI-powered search, recommendations, customer support, listing quality improvements, and trip planning tools.

That matters because ABNB operates a massive two-sided marketplace.

The better ABNB becomes at matching travelers with the right properties and experiences, the more valuable the platform becomes.

In that sense, AI isn’t the story.

It’s an advantage.

ABNB Is Expanding Beyond Lodging

Another thing I find interesting is ABNB’s push beyond simply booking places to stay.

The company continues expanding into experiences, services, and broader travel offerings.

That’s important because the bigger opportunity may not be the stay itself.

It may be the entire trip.

If ABNB can help travelers book accommodations, activities, services, and experiences through one ecosystem, the company becomes much more than a lodging platform.

That’s a much larger opportunity.

My Thesis

ABNB offers a compelling combination of valuation, technical strength, brand power, marketplace scale, travel demand, and a timely World Cup catalyst.

This is a company that revolutionized how people travel.

It remains one of the most influential platforms in the global travel industry and right now, the stock appears undervalued while continuing to show constructive technical behavior.

That’s why ABNB earned this week’s Top Pick of The Week.

Final Thoughts

The best trades aren’t always about chasing whatever is making headlines.

Sometimes they’re about identifying a company that already changed an industry, waiting patiently for the setup, and buying when the opportunity still appears attractive.

Airbnb Inc. changed travel forever.

The World Cup may bring millions of visitors to cities like Miami and right now, the stock appears to offer a compelling combination of quality, valuation, and opportunity.

The question isn’t whether ABNB changed the way people travel.

It already did.

The question is whether the market is fully recognizing the opportunity sitting in front of it today.

Always stay one step ahead of the market.

Let’s dig into last week’s market recap and the playbook for the week ahead →

The markets continued to make history last week with all three major indexes reaching new record highs, but the party ended on Friday when all three indexes fell especially the Nasdaq (QQQ) which tanked 4.8%!

This was likely due to technology stocks selling off, particularly semiconductor stocks. The iShares Semiconductors ETF (SOXX) plummeted 10.44% and the Technology select sector SPDR fund (XLK) dropped 6.66%.

The S&P 500 (SPY) had a nine-week winning streak and now price has pulled back. This is typical price movement. Price can only do three things—go up, down, or sideways. Now I’m watching for price to stop dropping and put in some sideways movement.

Both the SPY and QQQ closed below their 20-day SMA indicating declines may be underway. I’m looking out for the confirmation of these declines. The Dow Jones (DIA) maintained its 20-day SMA—closed above it, so it’s still in play here.

Bonds (TLT) lost some of its breakout momentum, but is still holding its 20-day SMA here. I’m watching TLT for a potential trade setup this week.

Gold (GLD) is in a decline and now trading below its 200-day SMA, which is typically considered bearish. Price fell 3.6% on Friday and is trading a near extreme-low RSI reading.

The breakout in Oil (USO) failed. Price closed back below its 20-day SMA, but managed to be the only major asset that closed green this past week. I’m watching to see if price holds here for potential oil trade ideas this week.

Bitcoin (BTC) is in a decline below its 200-day SMA and trading at an extreme-low RSI reading indicating a bottom could be in and a reversal may be underway. I’m watching for price to stop dropping and move sideways for a bit to make sure this is really a bottom here or not.

The Dow Jones (DIA) was the top performing index of the Big 3, while the Nasdaq (QQQ) was the worst. This is a risk-off environment here.

Utilities is setting up in an accumulation zone. I’m looking to open a triple-leveraged utilities trade in UTSL.

Communication Services and Consumer Discretionary are both back below their 200-day SMA, which is typically considered bearish, and have entered declines here.

All 9/11 SPDR sectors are trading above their 200-day SMA here, which is typically a bullish sign. The two sectors trading below their 200-day SMA are the XLC and XLY. I really like XLU, XLP and XLF for trade ideas here.

Beyond the main sectors, here’s what stood out this week:

S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production lost momentum and price fell below its 20-day SMA and came back into its accumulation zone. The XOP also closed the week in the green just like USO and XLE. I’m looking for potential oil trades this week.

Regional Banks is setting up for a potential breakout here above its 200-day, giving us a trade idea this week. DPST is my go-to for a triple-leveraged regional banks trade.

S&P Homebuilders ETF is on the move below its 200-day SMA. On any price weakness or RSI dips below 50, you could look to enter or add to your leveraged trade in NAIL.

The Russell 2000 Index declined 3.5% on Friday and closed below its 20-day SMA signaling a decline may be underway.

iShares Semiconductors ETF reached another record high and banged an extreme-high RSI reading, but tanked over 10% on Friday. Price closed below its 20-day SMA. I’m watching for a confirmation of a decline or not this week. AMD, SNDK, MU, and ASML gave us more profit-taking opportunities.

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF had an amazing week again! Price broke through its 200-day SMA and banged an extreme-high RSI reading to complete the software trade, which was a long time coming. SNOW has done beautifully here. After the tech sell-off on Friday, the IGV closed back below its 200-day SMA.

Ark Innovation ETF plummeted on Friday and fell back below its 200-day SMA into a decline.

I really like oil, XOP, regional banks, and bonds on any weakness here for trade setups this week.

IV. What Assets & Sectors I’m Watching

Here’s what I’m focused on next week:

  • Oil (USO): Will price hold here or will it make another breakout attempt.

    • XLE and XOP are both back in their accumulation zones and were top performers last week.

  • Dow Jones (DIA): Price hit an extreme-high RSI reading after it finally reached a new all-time high!! It’s no longer extreme here and I’m watching to see if price holds its 20-day SMA this week, or will it climb higher or roll over.

  • The S&P 500 (SPY): hit another record high, but also dipped and closed below its 20-day SMA

  • The Nasdaq (QQQ): also reached a new all-time high, but then took a nose dive on Friday and broke through its 20-day SMA. I’m looking for confirmation to see if price goes any lower or not.

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Will price stop dropping here and find a bottom?

    • The RSI is at an extreme-low reading indicating a bottom could be in here.

    • There is a dichotomy here between BTC and mining stocks $WGMI .

      • BTC is trading in a decline below its 200-day SMA, while WGMI, CLSK, and RIOT are trading well above their 200-day SMA and tagged extreme-high RSI readings giving us profit-taking opportunities.

  • Financials (XLF): I’m looking for a potential set up here if price breaks out. I like FAS for 3x leverage.

  • Regional Banks (KRE): I’m looking for a potential set up here if price breaks out. I like DPST for 3x leverage.

VII. Trade Breakdowns

This week’s trades are World Cup plays.

Living in Miami has been pretty exciting lately.

Next Thursday, June 11th, the FIFA World Cup officially kicks off, and Miami is one of the host cities for what will likely be one of the biggest global events of the year.

Millions of fans will be traveling, booking accommodations, attending matches, and spending money throughout the tournament.

Whenever an event this large takes place, I like to ask a simple question:

Where is the money flowing?

This week, instead of focusing on a single trade idea, I’m highlighting two companies that could benefit from increased spending tied to the World Cup.

→ One is a sports betting play.

→ The other is a travel and tourism play.

DraftKings (DKNG) gives investors exposure to increased sports wagering and fan engagement surrounding one of the world’s most watched sporting events.

Airbnb (ABNB) offers exposure to the travel side of the story as visitors flood host cities looking for places to stay.

Different businesses and different sub-sectors, but both sit directly in the path of what could be a major global spending event.

Let’s take a closer look at each setup.

1. DraftKings Inc (DKNG)

DraftKings Inc is back below its 20-day SMA possibly coming back into its accumulation zone which gives us an opportunity to add to a current trade or start a position.

If price can break above $27, I would consider the breakout back on and price is on the move.

I really like DKNG here for a position trade to true value.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • First target zone: $36

  • Previous high target zone: $44-45

  • Fair value target zone: $45

DKNG got its start in 2012 as an innovator in daily fantasy sports.

Then, following a Supreme Court ruling in 2018 that allowed states to legalize online sports wagering, the company expanded into online sports and casino gambling, where it generally holds the number-two or -three revenue share position across states where it competes.

With its predictive market launch in 2025, DKNG is now live with online or retail sports betting in most all states and i-gaming in five states, with both products available to around 40% of Canada’s population.

According to Morningstar, DKNG has a fair value of $45 and is currently trading undervalued.

DKNG is part of the Consumer Discretionary sector (XLY) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Gambling sub-sector.

2. Airbnb Inc. (ABNB)

Airbnb Inc. is in an accumulation zone and trading 21% undervalued here.

This is a great opportunity to start a buy and hold position and to put on a swing here.

ABNB transformed hotels, travels, and tourism forever.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • Previous high target zone: $146

  • Fair value target: $170

ABNB is the world’s largest online alternative accommodation travel agency; it also offers booking services for boutique hotels, experiences, and hotel-like services.

ABNB’s platform offers over 9 million active accommodation listings. Listings from the company’s 5 million-plus hosts are spread over almost every country in the world.

According to Morningstar, ABNB has a fair value of $170 and is currently trading undervalued.

ABNB is part of the Consumer Discretionary (XLY) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Travel & Tourism sub-sector.

Today I went live with from Finding Your Edge to learn something I knew almost nothing about:

Public relations.

Going into the conversation, I assumed a press release was something you sent to a newspaper or magazine and hoped someone noticed.

What I learned instead was something much bigger.

The real lesson wasn’t about press releases.

It was about stories because most people don’t struggle with visibility because they’re bad at marketing.

They struggle because they’re leading with announcements instead of stories.

A Story Is Different Than An Announcement

When I launched my Stock Market Playbook for Beginners workshop, my instinct was to tell people:

“The workshop is live.”

That’s an announcement.

It’s factual, it’s accurate, and it’s completely forgettable.

Robyn challenged me to think differently.

Instead of asking:

“What am I launching?”

She asked:

→ “What is the story?”

  • Why did I create this workshop? ←

  • Who is it for? ←

  • What problem does it solve? ←

  • Why does it matter right now? ←

That’s where the story lives and stories are what people remember.

Stories are what people share and stories are what make someone stop scrolling.

The Most Underrated Marketing Tool Nobody Uses

One of the biggest surprises from our conversation was learning how different public relations looks today.

I always thought PR was about getting featured in newspapers, but Robyn explained that modern PR is also about creating digital assets that continue working long after they’re published.

A press release isn’t just a media tool anymore.

It’s a searchable story.

One piece of content can:

  • Be indexed by search engines. ←

  • Be found by AI tools. ←

  • Be repurposed into articles, videos, emails, Notes, and social posts. ←

  • Continue bringing people back to your business months later. ←

The press release becomes less about the announcement and more about creating a permanent record of your story.

Visibility Is A Distribution Problem

Another idea that stuck with me was that many businesses don’t have a product problem.

They have a distribution problem.

People can’t buy what they never discover.

You can have a great workshop.

A great book, a great publication, and a great service; however, if nobody knows it exists, the quality doesn’t matter.

Robyn shared how one of her clients used PR strategically, eventually getting found through AI search and turning that visibility into real clients.

The lesson wasn’t that PR is magic.

The lesson was that visibility is often created intentionally; not accidentally.

One Story Can Become Ten Pieces of Content

My favorite practical takeaway was something creators can use immediately.

A single story can become:

  • A press release ←

  • A Substack article ←

  • A video ←

  • A podcast episode ←

  • A Substack Note ←

  • An email ←

  • A social media post ←

  • A pitch to a reporter ←

Most of us think we need more content.

What we really need is to get more value from the stories we’re already telling.

Final Thoughts

The biggest shift from today’s conversation was realizing that people don’t connect with announcements.

They connect with stories.

The workshop isn’t the story.

→ The reason it exists is the story.

The product isn’t the story.

→ The transformation is the story.

The launch isn’t the story.

→ The person you’re trying to help is the story.

As Robyn put it:

“Stories stick. Ads slip away.”

That’s a lesson I’ll be carrying into every launch, article, workshop, and business I build moving forward.

This week was harder than usual.

Not because I couldn’t find a trade, but because I found two.

→ One operates in the world of private equity, real estate, and alternative assets.

→ The other develops life-changing medical technology used by patients around the world.

  • Different sectors.

  • Different businesses.

  • Different drivers.

Yet the more I studied them, the more I realized they were telling a very similar story.

→ Both appeared undervalued.

→ Both paid dividends.

→ Both were trading below their 200-day simple moving averages (SMA).

→ Both had recently reclaimed their 20-day SMA.

And both were beginning to show signs of life alongside strengthening sectors.

On paper, they looked almost identical, which made choosing between them surprisingly difficult.

I spent more time than usual comparing charts, valuations, dividends, and sector strength.

Every time I thought I had made my decision, I found myself pulling up the other chart and second-guessing it.

That’s usually a sign I’m looking at two quality companies and quality companies trading on sale don’t show up every week.

Eventually, one setup started separating itself from the other.

The Trade: Blackstone Group Inc. (BX)

This week’s Top Pick of the Week is Blackstone Group Inc. .

While both opportunities caught my attention, BX ultimately offered what I believe is the strongest combination of valuation, dividend income, sector strength, and technical momentum.

In other words:

→ this is an amazing buy & hold opportunity to pick up shares of an undervalued / discounted stock to hold for the long-term, if not forever.

→ we can take a swing trade in BX back to its 200-day SMA for some honest gains and to add some alpha to the portfolio.

→ if you’re an experienced, astute trader, you can write option contracts on BX and do what you do and make exponential gains.

And in a market where everyone seems focused on semiconductor and software stocks, this seems like a no-brainer trade and buy & hold pick up right now.

Blackstone Group Inc. (BX)

  • Current Price: $118.55

  • Sector: Financials

  • Sub-sector: Asset Managers

  • Fair Value: $140 (15% discount to fair value)

  • Entry Zone: $115-116

  • Stop Loss Zone: $110

Market Context

The S&P 500 , the Nasdaq , and the Dow Jones are still steadily climbing higher here.

The QQQ is still trading at an extreme-high RSI reading. However, the SPY and the DIA are trading at near extreme-high RSI readings.

All major indexes are still trading above their 5-day EMA and 20-day SMA, which demonstrates strength and momentum in this rally still. There aren’t really any signs of weakness or roll over yet.

Financials tested its accumulation zone yesterday, but came back into it and broke out above its 20-day SMA indicating a breakout is underway.

The momentum is in favor here for financial stocks. BX popped over 7% today and closed above its 20-day SMA and entered a breakout as well.

Health care broke out above its 20-day SMA signaling a breakout is underway and is trading back above its 200-day SMA, which is typically considered bullish so the tailwind is in favor for health care stocks here.

The XLV was the best performing sector of the SPY today. MDT broke out and popped over 5% today!

Right now, I’m looking for high-quality stocks that are undervalued / on sale here.

Why Invest in BX Right Now?

1. The Stock Appears Meaningfully Discounted

One of my favorite setups is finding a high-quality company when the market is offering it at a discount.

Depending on the valuation model used, BX currently appears to be trading roughly 15% below fair value estimates.

→ That’s the kind of setup I love finding.

→ Great company.

→ Temporary discount.

That immediately got my attention because the market doesn’t often offer discounts on industry leaders forever.

Eventually, sentiment changes.

And when it does, those discounts can close quickly.

2. The Financial Sector Is Starting To Strengthen

I don’t just want a strong stock.

I want a strong stock inside a strengthening sector.

The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) has recently started showing signs of improvement, suggesting money may be rotating back into financials.

That matters because when both the stock and the sector are moving in the same direction, the probability of success often improves.

3. Technical Momentum Is Improving

From a technical perspective, BX is beginning to look much healthier.

Price recently closed above its 20-day SMA, signaling a potential breakout may be underway

More importantly, this appears early in the move.

The stock remains below its 200-day SMA, which suggests there may still be room for additional upside if momentum continues building.

Whether you’re looking for a swing trade or a longer-term position, the setup offers something both groups care about:

Opportunity before the move becomes obvious.

4. Investors Get Paid While They Wait

BX also pays a dividend.

That means investors can collect income while allowing the thesis time to develop.

That’s never the reason I take a trade, but it’s certainly a nice bonus!!

BX Technical Setup & Analysis

A breakout is underway in BX here indicated by price closing above its 20-day SMA.

BX is in a breakout buy zone below its 200-day SMA giving us a beautiful opportunity to add to an undervalued buy and hold position along with opening a simple swing trade back to its 200-day SMA.

  • Pattern: price closed above its 20-day SMA signaling a breakout is likely underway

    • Price closing above its 20-day SMA confirms it’s the last time to add shares or enter the trade.

    • The RSI is 50 so this is usually the last chance to add shares here.

      • Typically, once the RSI gets above 50, the trade is past a buy point, but to add shares to a buy and hold position, this is a perfect setup!

    • The MACD histogram is ticking upwards towards the bullish side indicating the momentum is in favor here.

  • Key Support: $113 and $105

  • Ideal Entry: $115-116

  • Stop loss: If price breaks below $110, exit.

    • If it holds and XLF continues breaking out, you’ve got room to run.

  • Targets:

    • 200-day SMA target

    • $140 (fair value target)

    • Extreme-high RSI reading greater than 70.

  • Position Sizing:

    • Position sizes: 1-3% for buy-and-hold; 1-2% for swing trades.

Why BX Won

At first, I thought this week’s decision would come down to valuation.

It didn’t.

→ Both companies looked cheap.

→ Both paid dividends.

→ Both were beginning to improve technically.

However, the more I compared them, the more I kept coming back to one thing:

Momentum.

The financial sector appears to be strengthening faster than healthcare right now and BX wasn’t simply showing improving fundamentals.

It was showing improving momentum inside an improving sector.

That’s the combination I wanted.

In other words:

→ MDT looked good.

→ BX looked ready.

And that distinction ultimately gave BX the edge.

Bonus Trade Idea: Medtronic, Inc. (MDT)

If BX earned the top spot this week, Medtronic, Inc. wasn’t far behind.

In fact, this was one of the closest Top Pick of the Week decisions I’ve made in a while.

MDT currently appears to be trading at a meaningful discount to fair value estimates.

  • The company pays a dividend.

  • The chart is beginning to improve.

  • And the healthcare sector has recently started showing signs of strength.

  • Targets:

    • 200-day SMA target

    • $112 (fair value target)

    • $104 (previous high zone target)

    • Extreme-high RSI reading greater than 70.

  • Position Sizing:

    • Position sizes: 1-3% for buy-and-hold; 1-2% for swing trades.

What Does MDT Do?

MDT is one of the world’s largest medical device companies.

Its products help physicians manage diabetes, improve heart health, treat chronic disease, and perform life-saving procedures around the world.

Unlike many healthcare companies that depend heavily on drug pipelines, MDT benefits from ongoing demand for medical devices and long-term demographic trends such as an aging population.

Those are powerful tailwinds.

Why It Didn’t Win

This wasn’t a rejection of MDT.

Quite the opposite.

I think MDT remains one of the more attractive healthcare opportunities on my watchlist.

It simply lost this week’s head-to-head matchup with BX and sometimes that’s all it comes down to.

MDT remains firmly on my radar and could easily become a future Top Pick of the Week.

Final Thoughts

The market loves talking about exciting companies.

I prefer finding great companies when nobody wants them.

That’s exactly what both BX and MDT looked like this week.

This wasn’t about finding a good company.

It was about choosing between two of them.

Both are worth watching, but when valuation, dividend income, sector strength, and momentum were all put on the table, BX earned the edge.

And in a market where quality is increasingly difficult to find on sale, that was enough.

Stay one step ahead of the market.

Following a systematic approach, reading market structure, and staying disciplined compounds over time.

The markets continued to make history last week!

The Nasdaq (QQQ) and the S&P 500 (SPY) hit new record highs again! Both the QQQ and SPY are back at extreme-high levels.

The Nasdaq has had its best two-month streak since 2002 and has gained 25% in just April and May. The SPY rose for its ninth week in a row.

The Dow Jones (DIA) also hit a new record high and is trading at a near extreme-high RSI reading here.

Bonds (TLT) broke out of its accumulation zone under its 200-day SMA last week! This still presents us with a potential trade idea on any price weakness this week.

Gold (GLD) is holding its accumulation zone here right above its 200-day SMA, which also gives us a potential trade setup.

Oil (USO) closed below its 20-day SMA confirming a decline is underway.

Bitcoin (BTC) is in a decline below its 200-day SMA.

The Nasdaq (QQQ) was the top performing index of the Big 3, while the Dow Jones (DIA) was the worst. The QQQ, DIA, and SPY are hitting new all-time highs, while the QQQ and SPY are both back at extreme levels, the DIA isn’t yet! Use caution here!

Technology was the top performing sector of the S&P 500 , while Energy was the worst.

The top three performing sectors were Technology (XLK), Materials (XLB), and Consumer Discretionary (XLY).

The worst three performing sectors were Energy (XLE), Consumer Staples (XLP), and Utilities (XLU).

Technology continues to climb higher and trade at an extreme-high RSI reading and popped over 2% on Friday!

Consumer Discretionary broke out last week and is trading above its 200-day SMA.

Materials looks to be setting up for a play here this week. I like trading the UYM for a triple-leveraged materials play.

Financials also may be setting up here just below its 200-day SMA. I like FAS for a 3X leveraged financials trade.

Energy and Consumer Staples are in declines here.

The breakout in Utilities failed. Price is trading back below its 20-day SMA and 5-day EMA signaling a possible decline is underway right above its 200-day SMA.

All SPDR sectors except Financials (XLF) are trading above their 200-day SMA here, which is typically a bullish sign. I’m watching the utility stocks closely here along with XLE and XLP.

III. Important Sectors & ETFs

Beyond the main sectors, here’s what stood out this week:

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF had an amazing week! Price popped over 8%, broke through its 200-day SMA, and banged an extreme-high RSI reading giving us a profit-taking opportunity in software stocks like SNOW, MSFT, and ORCL!!

Ark Innovation ETF broke out and blew through its 200-day SMA! Price jumped over 7% last week. This is a bullish sign for growth stocks.

iShares Semiconductors ETF reached another record high and is back to trading at an extreme-high RSI reading! This has been an incredible run for semiconductor stocks here like MU, AMD, SNDK, and QCOM.

Gold Miners & Gold Miners Junior have both broken out on Friday, giving us potential trade setups this week.

The Russell 2000 Index broke out higher and didn’t hit an extreme-high RSI reading indicating that price still has room to room. Let’s see what price does this week.

Regional Banks is setting up for a potential breakout here above its 200-day, giving us a trade idea this week. DPST is my go-to for a triple-leveraged regional banks trade.

SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF has rolled over and closed below its 20-day, but has put in a couple doji bars here signaling a bottom could be in here.

I really like GDX, GDXJ, and KRE here for trade setups this week.

IV. What Assets & Sectors I’m Watching

Here’s what I’m focused on next week:

  • Oil (USO): Will price keep falling here or will price put in a bottom here?

    • XLE and XOP have both rolled over into confirmed declines here.

  • Dow Jones (DIA): Will price keep climbing and reach an extreme-high RSI reading after it finally reached a new all-time high?

  • The S&P 500 & The Nasdaq (SPY & QQQ): The SPY and QQQ are both back at extreme-high readings here. Use caution and don’t FOMO into any positions.

    • Lock in profits and leave some to run!

    • Let your winners run!!!

  • Bitcoin (BTC): Will price stop dropping here or find a bottom?

    • The RSI isn’t at an extreme-low yet indicating that price still has room to move lower here.

    • There is a dichotomy here between BTC and mining stocks .

      • BTC is trading in a decline below its 200-day SMA, while WGMI, CLSK, and RIOT are trading well above their 200-day SMA and tagging extreme-high RSI readings giving us profit-taking opportunities.

  • Gold Miners Junior (GDXJ): I really like JNUG for a leveraged gold miners junior play this week.

  • Financials (XLF): I’m looking for a potential set up here if price breaks out. I like FAS for 3x leverage.

  • Materials (XLB): I’m looking for a potential set up here if price breaks out. I like UYM for 3x leverage.

1. DoorDash Inc. (DASH)

DoorDash Inc. is currently trading undervalued and in an accumulation zone below its 200-day SMA.

This presents a nice opportunity to put on a position trade or add to a buy and hold position.

The MACD histogram is ticking upwards towards the bullish side and the TSI has curled signaling the momentum to the upside is in favor here.

I really like DASH here for a position trade to true value.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • Overhead resistance: $190

  • Fair value target: $205 / 200-day SMA target: $208

  • First target zone: $235

  • Previous high target zone: $280

Founded in 2013 within the confines of the San Francisco application renaissance, DASH is an online delivery demand aggregator.

Consumers can use its app to order food on demand for delivery or in-store pickup from participating merchants. Following the 2022 acquisition of Wolt, DASH also provides this service in Europe and Asia.

The company provides also similar services to non-restaurant businesses, such as grocery, retail, and pet supplies.

DASH is rolling out emerging technologies, such as drone delivery, to continually innovate and deliver the best possible service to both supply-side and demand-side participants in its marketplace.

According to Morningstar, DASH has a fair value of $205 and is currently trading undervalued.

DASH is part of the Consumer Discretionary sector (XLY) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Special Consumer Services sub-sector.

2. Blackstone Group Inc. (BX)

Blackstone Group Inc. is back in an accumulation zone again and trading below its 200-day SMA giving us another opportunity to add to a buy and hold position.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • Overhead resistance: $130

  • 200-day SMA target / fair value target: $140

  • Previous high target zone: $160

BX is the world's largest alternative-asset manager with $1.304 trillion in total assets under management (AUM), including $937.6 billion in fee-earning assets under management, at the end of March 2026.

The company operates with scale in each of its major product lines: private equity, real estate/real assets, credit and insurance, and other alternatives (10% and 7%).

While the firm primarily serves institutional investors (84% of AUM), it also caters to high networth clients.

According to Morningstar, BX has a fair value of $140 and is currently trading undervalued.

BX is part of the Financials (XLF) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Asset Managers sub-sector.

The markets made history again last week!

The Nasdaq (QQQ) and the S&P 500 (SPY) hit new record highs again! The SPY has cooled off a bit; but the QQQ is still trading at an extreme-high RSI reading here.

The Dow Jones (DIA) also hit a new record high! Price still hasn’t tagged an extreme-high RSI reading indicating that there is still room for price to run higher.

Bonds (TLT) put in a doji bar while just barely tagging an extreme-low RSI reading signaling a potential bottom could be in. Then, jumped above its 5-day EMA further confirming an accumulation zone here giving us a potential trade idea this week.

The breakout in Gold (GLD) lost its momentum and price closed below its 20-day SMA with a doji bar signaling a possible bottom is in. I’m still watching to see if price holds or rolls over here.

Oil (USO) closed below its 20-day SMA which signals a decline could be underway here. I’m watching for price to close below it again for confirmation of the decline.

After just tagging its 200-day SMA, Bitcoin (BTC) may be entering a decline here back below it.

The Nasdaq (QQQ) was the top performing index of the Big 3, while the Dow Jones (DIA) was the worst.

Technology is still climbing higher and trading at an extreme-high RSI reading; however, it closed with a doji bar on Friday indicating a top could be in here.

Health Care broke out and got back above its 200-day SMA.

Utilities is back above its 200-day SMA and setting up for a play here this week. I like trading the UTSL for a triple-leveraged utilities play.

Energy and have closed below their 20-day SMA and entered declines here oil .

All SPDR sectors except Financials (XLF) are trading back above their 200-day SMA here, which is typically a bullish sign.

SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF has closed below its 20-day SMA signaling a decline is underway, which is following suit to the Energy sector .

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF continued to climb higher and hit a new record high! The RSI is only 65 indicating price still has room to run as it approaches its 200-day SMA.

iShares Semiconductors ETF reached another record high and is trading at a near extreme-high RSI reading indicating price can still go higher!! This has been an incredible run for semiconductor stocks here like MU, AMD, SNDK, and POET.

The Russell 2000 Index came right back into an accumulation zone and broke out again! There is no quit in the IWM either here! Let’s see if price keeps climbing higher this week.

Ark Innovation ETF is setting up in an accumulation zone right below its 200-day SMA.

Regional Banks is setting up for a potential breakout here above its 200-day, giving us a trade idea this week. DPST is my go-to for a triple-leveraged regional banks trade.

The markets and sectors have regained strength here. The QQQ, DIA, and SPY are hitting new all-time highs! A lot of sectors are running with still room to go on the RSI. Let’s see if markets continue to climb higher this week.

VII. Trade Breakdowns

Before we get into this week’s trade breakdowns, you’ll notice something:

CRSP and META are back.

Same names. Same watchlist and that’s intentional.

One mistake I see traders make all the time is abandoning good stocks too early.

A setup doesn’t immediately break out, so they assume the trade is dead.

Then they jump to a new ticker.

Then another and then another.

By Friday, they’re staring at ten charts and wondering what the hell happened.

Following the same stocks matters because familiarity creates pattern recognition.

  • You start learning how a stock behaves.

  • How it reacts around key levels.

  • Where buyers usually step in.

  • How it moves when momentum starts building.

And sometimes a stock taking longer isn’t a bad thing.

Sometimes it means the setup is still building.

If the structure and thesis are still intact, more time can actually work in your favor. It gives you more time to build intentionally instead of chasing price.

CRSP and META still fit the process.

So they’re staying on the field this week.

1. CRISPR Therapeutics AG (CRSP)

CRISPR Therapeutics AG is trading in an accumulation zone below its 200-day SMA.

A breakout might be underway as price closed above its 20-day SMA.

CRSP was our first top pick of the week on 4/2/26.

This is a wonderful buy and hold opportunity and position trade play here!

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • First target zone: $59-$62

  • Previous high target zone: $74-78

  • Fair value target: $106

CRSP is focused on using this technology to treat genetically defined diseases.

The company’s first approved drug is Casgevy, which was developed in collaboration with Vertex Pharmaceuticals and targets sickle-cell disease and transfusion-dependent beta-thalassemia.

The company is advancing a variety of gene editing programs in immuno-oncology, cardiovascular, and a stem cell-derived therapy to treat Type 1 diabetes.

According to Morningstar, CRSP has a fair value of $106 and is currently trading undervalued.

CRSP is part of the Health Care sector (XLV) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Biotechnology sub-sector.

2. Meta Platforms, Inc. (META)

Meta Platforms, Inc. is trading in an accumulation zone again giving us another chance to add to our buy and hold positions and leveraged swing trades in FBL.

The company is also trading undervalued here, which doesn’t happen a lot for this mega-cap, growth stock!!

This is another beautiful buy and hold opportunity here!!

META was our first top pick of the week on 5/14/26.

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • Around 200-day SMA target: $680

  • Previous high target zone: $760

  • Fair value target: $850

META is the largest social media company in the world, boasting close to 4 billion monthly active users worldwide.

The firm's "Family of Apps," its core business, consists of Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. META packages customer data, gleaned from its application ecosystem and sells ads to digital advertisers.

According to Morningstar, META has a fair value of $850 and is currently trading undervalued.

META is part of the Communications Services (XLC) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Internet sub-sector.

And honestly?

That part stuck with me long after the live ended because somewhere between talking about charts, sectors, Dogs of the Dow, Verizon, and all the weird market rabbit holes I somehow end up in...something clicked.

You forget that charts look like colorful chaos.

You forget that opening a brokerage account for the first time feels weirdly intimidating.

And then I realized something.

They need a framework because people aren’t avoiding the stock market because they’re lazy.

And I get it.

I’ve had conversations with people in their 50s who still haven’t invested because they’re carrying fear from 2008.

The Trade: Verizon Communications (VZ)

On the surface, Verizon Communications isn’t the trade everyone is chasing.

It isn’t flashy and it isn’t a hot AI name.

It probably won’t dominate headlines this week and that’s exactly why I looked twice because underneath the “boring telecom stock” label, something may be changing.

VZ has quietly started showing signs of improvement.

Management has cut costs, restructured operations, and appears focused on getting the business back into growth mode.

The recent subscriber data matters too: VZ added 55,000 postpaid phone subscribers, its first positive first-quarter number in roughly a decade!!

That’s not nothing.

Markets love evidence that a turnaround may actually be working and when that evidence starts showing up at the same time the chart begins to improve?

Now we have something to watch.

In other words:

→ this is an amazing buy & hold opportunity to pick up shares of an undervalued / discounted stock to hold for the long-term, if not forever.

→ we can take a swing trade in VZ back to the previous high for some honest gains.

→ we can also position trade VZ back to true value and beyond and make massive gains.

→ if you’re an experienced, astute trader, you can write option contracts on VZ and do what you do and make exponential gains.

And in a market where everyone seems focused on semiconductor stocks, this seems like a no-brainer trade right now.

  • Entry Zone: $46-$48

Market Context

The S&P 500 , the Nasdaq , and the Dow Jones are showing signs of weakness and possible rollover here.

The SPY and the QQQ have cooled off and are no longer trading at extreme-high RSI readings.

They are still trading above their 20-day SMA, while the DIA closed below its 20-day SMA signaling a decline could be underway.

Right now, I’m looking for high-quality stocks that are undervalued / on sale here.

Why This Trade Matters Right Now

VZ gives us a few things in one setup:

  • Income.

  • A possible turnaround.

  • A stock that still appears discounted and a chart that may be starting day one of a new move.

That combination is why I care.

The dividend alone is attractive, with VZ currently yielding around 6%+.

For longer-term investors, that means you’re getting paid while the setup develops.

However, the dividend isn’t the whole trade.

The more interesting piece is the change in character.

This is a name many traders have ignored because telecom feels slow, but slow doesn’t mean dead.

Sometimes slow means the stock is building.

And right now, VZ is starting to look less like a sleepy telecom name…and more like a stock quietly changing direction.

  • Pattern: price closed above its 20-day SMA signaling a breakout is likely underway

    • Price closing above its 20-day SMA confirms it’s the last time to add shares or enter the trade.

    • The MACD histogram is ticking upwards towards the bullish side indicating the momentum is in favor here.

  • Key Support: $44 and $42.99

  • Ideal Entry: $46-$48

  • Stop loss: If price breaks below $44, exit.

    • If it holds and XLC continues breaking out, you’ve got room to run.

  • Resistance Levels:

    • Short-term resistance: $48.50

  • Targets:

    • $50.50 (previous high target)

    • $53 (fair value target)

    • Extreme-high RSI reading greater than 70.

  • Position Sizing:

    • Position sizes: 1-3% for buy-and-hold; 1-2% for swing trades.

Final Thoughts

VZ became this week’s top pick because it gives us a rare mix:

The markets made history last week!

The Nasdaq (QQQ) and the S&P 500 (SPY) hit new record highs again! The SPY has cooled off a bit; but the QQQ is still trading at an extreme-high RSI reading here.

The oil trade is back on! Oil (USO) broke out and popped over 10% last week. Price is trading above its 5-day EMA, which presents us with potential trade ideas this week.

The Dow Jones (DIA) has still been moving sideways forming a consolidation zone here above its 20-day SMA.

The breakout in Gold (GLD) lost its momentum and price closed below its 20-day SMA with a doji bar signaling a possible bottom is in. I’m watching to see if price holds or rolls over here.

Bitcoin (BTC) just tagged its 200-day SMA, but has closed below its 20-day SMA indicating a potential decline is underway.

Bonds (TLT) broke its accumulation zone and is now trading at a near extreme-low RSI reading below its 200-day SMA.

The S&P 500 (SPY) was the top performing index of the Big 3, while the Nasdaq (QQQ)was the worst.

Above is the 5-day performance across all 11 sectors.

Energy was the top performing sector of the S&P 500 , while Consumer Discretionary was the worst.

The top three performing sectors were Energy (XLE), Health Care (XLV), and Consumer Staples (XLP).

The worst three performing sectors were Consumer Discretionary (XLY), Real Estate (XLRE), and Materials (XLB).

Technology is still climbing higher and trading at an extreme-high RSI reading; however, it closed with a doji bar on Friday indicating a top could be in here.

Energy has entered a confirmed breakout signaling the oil trade is back on.

The breakout in Health Care failed and is trading back below its 20-day SMA, but it also closed below its 200-day SMA, which is typically bearish. I’m watching to see if price holds here for possible trade setups this week.

Health Care (XLV), Utilities (XLU) Consumer Discretionary (XLY), and Financials (XLF) are trading back below their 200-day SMA, which is typically bearish.

III. Important Sectors & ETFs

Beyond the main sectors, here’s what stood out this week:

SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF has closed above its 20-day SMA entering a breakout following suit with Energy . This presents a nice trade setup this week. I’m looking at leveraged oil trades in GUSH and OILU.

The iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF continued to climb higher and carried many software stocks with it like SNOW, FRSH, MSFT, and ADBE which all broke out.

iShares Semiconductors ETF finally started to cool off and is no longer trading at an extreme-high RSI reading here. Price also put in a doji bar signaling a potential top is in.

The Russell 2000 Index has entered a possible decline here. Price closed below its 20-day SMA on Friday. Lets see if price comes back above its 20-day SMA or continues to fall lower.

After Ark Innovation ETF broke through its 200-day SMA, it quickly closed back below it and closed below its 20-day SMA and is entering a possible decline here.

Regional Banks have entered a decline right above its 200-day SMA.

The markets and sectors have finally started to cool off here. Oil (USO) and the XOP are demonstrating strength along with software stocks (IGV) which rose higher last week.

Here’s what I’m focused on next week:

  • Oil (USO): Will price keep falling here or will price hold here?

    • XLE and XOP both put in doji bars on Friday signaling a bottom may be in here.

  • Dow Jones (DIA): Will price keep climbing and reach an extreme-high RSI reading or will it roll over here?

  • The S&P 500 & The Nasdaq (SPY & QQQ): The SPY has cooled off and is no longer trading at an extreme-high RSI reading here; however, the QQQ is. Use caution and don’t FOMO into any positions.

    • Lock in profits and leave some to run!

    • Let your winners run!!!

  • Gold (GLD): Price put in a doji. I’m watching to see if a bottom is in and price holds here and starts basing or falls lower.

  • Health Care (XLV): I’m looking at health care for a potential set up here if price breaks out. I like CURE for 3x leverage.

VII. Trade Breakdowns

Before we get into this week’s trade breakdowns, you’ll notice something:

MCD and LMT are back.

Same names. Same watchlist and that’s intentional.

One mistake I see traders make all the time is abandoning good stocks too early.

A setup doesn’t immediately break out, so they assume the trade is dead.

Then they jump to a new ticker.

Then another and then another.

By Friday, they’re staring at ten charts and wondering what the hell happened.

Following the same stocks matters because familiarity creates pattern recognition.

  • You start learning how a stock behaves.

  • How it reacts around key levels.

  • Where buyers usually step in.

  • How it moves when momentum starts building.

And sometimes a stock taking longer isn’t a bad thing.

Sometimes it means the setup is still building.

If the structure and thesis are still intact, more time can actually work in your favor. It gives you more time to build intentionally instead of chasing price.

MCD and LMT still fit the process.

So they’re staying on the field this week.

1. Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT)

Lockheed Martin Corp. is setting up in an accumulation zone right below its 200-day SMA.

Price hit an extreme-low RSI reading indicating a bottom may be in here.

Price closed above its 5-day EMA and the MACD histogram crossed over to the bullish side, which demonstrates confluence of the indicators here.

This is a wonderful buy and hold opportunity here!

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • First target zone: $595

  • Previous high target zone: $675

LMT is the world's largest defense contractor and has dominated the Western market for high-end fighter aircraft since it won the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program in 2001.

Aeronautics is LMT’s largest segment, which derives upward of two-thirds of its revenue from the F-35.

According to Morningstar, LMT has a fair value of $640 and is currently trading undervalued.

LMT is part of the Industrials sector (XLI) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Defense sub-sector.

2. McDonalds Corp. (MCD)

McDonalds Corp. had entered a decline, hit an extreme-low RSI reading, and is trading below its 200-day SMA.

Price has started to move sideways into a zone of accumulation. I’m watching for price to close above its 5-day EMA for entry confirmation.

The MACD histogram has also been ticking upwards indicating that the momentum to the upside is in favor.

The company is also trading undervalued here, which doesn’t happen a lot for this trophy stock!!

This is another beautiful buy and hold opportunity here!!

Profit targets:

  • An extreme-high RSI reading

  • 200-day SMA target

  • Previous high target zone: $335

MCD is the world’s largest restaurant brand, with nearly $139 billion in systemwide sales across more than 45,000 restaurants and over 100 markets.

The quick-service chain built its early reputation on speed, consistency, and affordable hamburgers, and today its global menu spans burgers, chicken, breakfast, and beverages that have helped popularize American fast-food cuisine worldwide.

According to Morningstar, MCD has a fair value of $300 and is currently trading undervalued.

MCD is part of the Consumer Discretionary sector (XLY) of the S&P 500 (SPY) and the Restaurants & Bars sub-sector.

The kind of stocks that just feel fun to own.

And honestly? I wanted to pick them.

But wanting a trade and taking a trade aren’t always the same thing.

Because the market doesn’t pay us for excitement.

It pays us for structure.

Around the same time, I caught myself doing something ridiculous.

I opened my phone to check one thing…

Then somehow 20 minutes disappeared.

One notification became scrolling.

One video became another.

And I remember thinking:

Attention might be one of the most valuable assets in the world right now.

Which made me ask a different question:

Who actually owns it?

Then I went back to the charts.

And one setup stood out.

Here’s the setup →

The Trade: Meta Platforms, Inc. (META)

While luxury names like LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMUY) and Ferrari NV were tempting, Meta Platforms, Inc. ultimately offered what I believe is the strongest combination of:

  • Growth.

  • Technical structure.

  • AI exposure.

  • Momentum.

  • A “no-brainer” investment and an easy lay-up swing trade.

  • Dominance in its sector.

All in one setup!

In other words:

→ this is an amazing buy & hold opportunity to pick up shares of an undervalued / discounted stock to hold for the long-term, if not forever.

→ we can take a 2x leveraged swing trade in FBL for quicker price movements, cheaper share prices, smaller position sizes, and amplified gains (and, losses).

→ we can also position trade META back to true value and beyond and make massive gains.

→ if you’re an experienced, astute trader, you can write option contracts on META and do what you do and make exponential gains.

And in a market where everyone seems focused on semiconductor stocks, this seems like the most obvious, no-brainer trade right now.

Meta Platforms, Inc. (META)

  • Current Price: $616.63

  • Sector: Communication Services

  • Sub-sector: Internet

  • Fair Value: $850 (27% discount to fair value)

  • Entry Zone: $610-650

  • Stop Loss Zone: $585-590

Market Context

The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq are still trading at extreme-high RSI readings and are at all-time highs.

The Technology sector and Semiconductors are also banging extreme-high RSI readings, so you can deduct that this is a technology, specifically a semiconductor rally which presents opportunities in other sectors, like communication services .

The XLC is demonstrating strength today indicating the momentum for communications stocks is in favor.

Price broke and closed above its 20-day SMA confirming a breakout is underway and lagging internet stocks could gain some tailwind and start moving.

Our second Top Pick of The Week was Reddit Inc. , which is also included in the internet stocks and is currently a buy here, but I wanted to go with a different undervalued Internet stock here.

META popped over 6% yesterday and closed above its 5-day EMA signaling the trade is on and its time to buy shares.

I’ve been in META in my buy & hold account for years now and have positioned traded it. I’m also looking into a 2x leveraged swing trade in FBL.

Why This Trade Matters (Don’t Skip This)

META isn’t just a social media company anymore.

It’s an attention company.

And attention might be one of the most valuable assets in the world right now.

Billions of people open Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp every single day without even thinking about it.

Scroll. Tap. Watch. Repeat.

And the longer people stay inside that ecosystem, the more valuable META becomes.

That’s where the AI story actually matters.

Most people think AI is just chips, chatbots, and headlines.

META uses AI differently.

It uses it to keep people engaged.

  • To optimize attention.

  • To improve ad targeting.

  • To increase time spent on platform.

Which means META isn’t just participating in the AI trade.
